Fatso dude is indeed being meddlesome, but he's not to blame, after all he fell in love with Hayami (who wouldn't, the author literally depicts her as an angel), while on the other hand, Hamaji has been a dick the whole time. It seems you guys forgot the reason why he started dating Hayami, it was just so he could forget Hagiwara, it was a decision he made in the spur of the moment (a moment of horniness and solitude). 

Dunno why there's so much hate on the fatso, he's just seeking for his love to be realized, and he already noticed that Hamaji is a real dick.

Couples occasionally getting into scuffles is normal, doesn't mean fatass gets to decide he's the solution. The only reason fatass is suspicious of Hamaji is because in his mind he wants Hamaji to break up with Hayami, it gives him an excuse to make a move on a girl who's taken. Further emphasized when fatso actually goads Hamaji into looking after Hagiwara.
