This was a middle-of-the-road story for me. There was nothing really wrong with it. The flow was smooth if a little draggy, and none of the characters were overly annoying. I guess it just couldn't make me care. It felt bland, like we never really breached the surface, just skimmed along the surface from start to finish - no real emotion, no sense of tension. It was still quality, I don't regret reading it. I'll just probably forget it by next week.
You know, for a handsome girl, she sure does cry a lot.
But I suppose her handsomeness is more in her acting than in her true personality after all, Ichiya chose her after seeing her act.
Good read. Not a tearjerker, many times cute, occasionaly nervewrecking. In the end, I've grown to really like the main characters and their friends. I guess that's the real strength of Yoshizumi-sensei, that shows on all her series I've read so far, which counts even her oneshots published with this series.
Much better than her newer Ultra Maniac, but doesn't surpass her following, Marmalade Boy. I guess it is because it is a much earlier work, and it had its ending postponed twice (good thing the scanlators translated the author's corner). Therefore, dragging was inevitable, unfortunately.
In case you're curious about the endings and didn't read the notes on volume 9:
Even with those mixed feelings, I don't regret reading it all, and still gave it 5 stars because of the first half, the characters and the oneshots. I actually liked Mio. She is not that kind of airhead that ends up hurting others without noticing. She's more likely to get hurt instead, and a lot. I better stop writing, this is getting too big to be here.
You're most welcome I was honestly surprised when I saw that these weren't here already. They are mostly older releases, so even if a single person is reading them, it makes me happy
Also, I've been uploading mostly yaoi since I joined Batoto, much to the chagrin of the guys here xD Figured I'd add some classic shoujo for a change
I'd like to thank AnpanMayo, who's been uploading a whole bunch of good old shoujo by Yoshizumi Wataru and others that I'm glad to see here on Batoto.
But I sure did read it to the end, if by skipping maybe four chapters (they are long, I tell you, often more than 40 pages) and it was amusing in certain points. ^^
