Both the characters have very one-note personalities and they seem to only have 2 facial expressions throughout the series and the manga's tone is very bland as well.
Even if the characters are boring, you can give them little nuances in behavior or expression to have them seem more 'alive' instead of the dead fish eyes they seem to have the entire time.
Do Not recommend.
