Description: Ever since he was young, Mizuki's mother raised him up as a girl and forbade him from being close to other kids. Always dressed-up in a female kimono, this youngster is actually a successor to a wealthy clan. His mother hid his existence from Mizuki’s own father to prevent him from being caught in the crossfire of succession.

Appearing on behalf of Mizuki’s maternal father, young lawyer, Hatano tries to convince Mitsuki, who he first thought of as a girl to meet ‘her’ long lost father. This homosexual lawyer has some devious plan to use the female Mizuki to gain success for his own good. What’s worse is that Hatano is a frequent customer in Hanamai Koeda, the restaurant which Mizuki is working as his boy-self. Oh boy, Mizuki better watch out or his cover will be blown!

I find it incredibly hard to suspend my disbelief that Mizuki is having such a hard time sorting out his feelings for Hatano. He knew from the very beginning the whole plan was to use him to inherit a fortune... Anything done by him, nice or not, should have been under heavy scrutiny while erring on the side of caution. The fact that he kept saying how nice Hatano was even early on, despite him almost at the very same moment talking about how he wants to mislead the girl just blows my mind. It kind of ruins the story I think.

@Samael Ah, the love interest wasn't as much "want to strangle," really. He was a generally good guy who had done as he was supposed to, followed in his father's footsteps, and was, well at ends. Directionless. (At one point in time the protagonist, who is nearly a decade younger than he, compares him to a kid, which was apropos, since at the beginning he has several decidedly un-grown-up moments.) The fact that he was gay (and not out) wasn't helping. But as he came to care for the protagonist, and found more, er, direction thereby- found sometheing he wanted to do- he became a more likable person.
if anyone's annoying enough for people to want to strangle him, i won't read it.
It was good. Bitter-sweet and had a good development, the only flaw (According to me) is that I wanted to strangle Hatano the whole time I was reading this manga. Such a despicable man.
I'm confused. I liked Prunus Girl... but this one leaves an odd taste in the mouth.
