A straightforward story but still brought tears to my eyes.
interesting story, but that final chapter was a little bland. i enjoyed it and the art was nice, but nothing super special once you look at it as a whole. i'd say 3/5. thanks roankun!!
There was basically very little in this story... of anything. Action wasn't the point, so I get it. Not much about the whole zombie/sickness thing, we didn't see her degenerate or suffer more than just general apathy. Barely any closure, and it ended in the least interesting way possible. She didn't even accept grow as a character - just got apathetic again after they finally put her friend down.
The story peaked when the zombie girl started getting worse (falling apart physically, reverting to basic instincts) and it kinda rolled from a cliff into boredom, when everyone expected either a much sadder ending or something more original than "she died, friend got sad, then got over".
The best ending for this serie would be a time travel back to the point the Mangaka started it... and stop him before he created this shit.
Well the ending is better than expected for a short series mmm...
The ending is great and you're just making it look bad in my opinion.
It started pretty interesting and then it just gets more and more mediocre. The bland ending makes the entire story utterly pointless.

Oh god, don't remind me of that story, I couldn't stop crying through out that damned story, that damned magnificently bittersweet but amazing story.
It seems like the end is near, it's most likely not gonna be a typical happy happy ending, most likely it'll just end with Makoto revealing why she acted like she did and then she's put to rest, a simple but respectable ending.
Or, the author will do the completely ballsy route and make Makoto eat/bite her, that would actually be a potentially interesting ending if done correctly.

Well i hope in the end that makoto is going to infect Hana and the happily eat other People xD i dont think that this Manga as a happy end but we can hope ^^ i mean it doesnt look like that hana will abdone makoto

honestly that was part of the year of the good ecchi manga's ending oddly or not that great trend. Which sucked cuz im like i could of ended a lot of them with resolving said issues or at least an open end that hints that there would be a resolution.
And to think I was gonna read that at some point, thanks for saving me the disappointment.

could be worse it could be Sankarea where the author makes us think the story is about a boy who'll cure his female zombie friend only to have the author lie and she is never truly cured.
