It'd be good if someone post the next chapters.. ;w;
it sure did in chapter 6, seemed like a pretty abrupt change in style to the partial 4-koma from what everything has been prior to that. weird, wonder if it's gonna be like that from now on
MY ASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!
It starts to become 4-koma at one point.
But never shoujo.
1. What was Gangan's (which Gangan anyway) former audience?
2. Does going back to what was succesful in the past guarantee you to be succesful in the present? Does the previous model still work? Can you guarantee that the "former audience" is still there (and has not dwindled since)?
3. Of all currently running series in Gangan Wing, Monthly Gangan, Young Gangan, Gangan Online (since I don't know which Gangan you're referring to), just how many titles are aimed at girls and fujoshi? What's the ratio?
...he's an idiot.
the synopsis maybe shoujo but the vibe when you read it is clearly shounen
Square Enix for a great number of reasons has lost a lot of fans. Yes the FF series always had romantic undertones but it was way different from what it is now. Just take a look at the heroines from FF7,FF8,FF9 and then the sudden shift with FF10 where instead of heroines they became the protagonists with bishie boyfriends and stuff.
As for GanGan it long since HAS forsaken it's former audience and from a sales point it is doing worse and worse. However instead of going back to what they did successfully in the past Square Enix has decided to go full steam down the cliff. The very same thing they did to the Final Fantasy series (and lower sales just doesn't cut it when talking about FF13,FF14 and so on).
As for "no fact's" everyone with half a brain could look it up within a few minutes on the internet. Obviously you're not willing to.
then you stated a bunch of "facts" without basis. final fantasy has gotten worse? how? less sales? but that isnt a good reason since market has shifted, any number of factors could have caused lower sales. plus sales doesnt = good, it just means either 1. social game (like WoW) 2. Good Marketing 3. social phenomenon (game filled with hilarity and memes 4. competitive gameplay. these 4 game types are the current "trend" across the world, but mainly in the U.S.
i dont think you really understand how the video game market and manga market works these days. best do some research
This one just like Yoku x Boku SS is published by Square Enix in GanGan. There are quite a few others that by no means at all are shounen or even remotely aimed at a male audience.
And yes their sales ARE decreasing and they AREN'T doing all that well. But instead of going back they try to go even further and it is clearly showing.
These pieces or works aren't aimed at a male audience but at girls and fujoshi. They therefore ARE NOT shounen anymore as they weren't produced with a shounen audience in mind in the first place.
