I read this like: Oh, so it's a prequel-sequel to something but oh well I'll read this first and... now I have to go read the other story, too. : D

Wow, this was amazingingly beautiful. Likable characters, well-paced plot, and a very sad ending. It also portrays an all too real reality of love and loss.
