This is definitely a manga that soothes and brings ease to a mind tired from the frenetic pace of modern life. It's not just cute and likable characters doing cute things; all of the characters have definite personalities, and the writer has constructed a fascinating and complete world. The plot is also quite interesting and "immersive" (a great word!) as ElBichoRaro has said. Thanks, Kashiki Takuto-Sensei and #EverydayHeroes Scans, for bringing it to us.
I got nostalgic for the Moomins while watching that and that's a great thing, loved that show.

The author is a very good artist. Hopefully that has been said many times before me, but it cannot be said enough, even if it had. What I would give to just draw one of these animals as well as the author has, let alone all of the ones shown.

What can we say? When you have a hard body, you need a very soft bed. So there's nothing like soft rotten wood for our carapaces.
Country girl beetle is not suited for city decor. Give her a partially rotten log and she will be in heaven.
Really, here in the southeast US, if you peel the bark off of a log that has been on the ground for a while you are likely to see some of her relatives.
