This is probably my last comment on Batoto, so I'm glad it will be a squee about sweetness overdose! Shizuku was soooo dazzling this time, especially when she realized her 'dream'! Not that there was any doubt about it before, but now it's set in stone that Yoichi doesn't stand a chance...

If I release more chapters, it'll be on a certain loli goddess's website if it stops dying and also on waifusims.com. Currently there's nothing on waifusims.com, but I'll work on getting a rudimentary reader up along with the chapters I translated (nothing before), hopefully before bato.to goes under.
Thanks for all the good work anons & scanlators. Hopefully a replacement for batoto will appear.. someday.
The title is based on a Japanese idiom. Just saying that the title is "boxed drops" might convey the "boxed in" aspect, but it wasn't created for the manga.
That's like saying 'bat' in 'Batman' means the flying mammal instead of the wooden object used in baseball.

I went and looked up what "Hakoiri" meant in Japanese. According to Jisho, it literally means "boxed" or "cased," but it makes mention of a metaphorical meaning for a "girl who has been sheltered from the world."
Obviously the mangaka would know about this double meaning, but I wanted to bring it up here for those who didn't know about it. I thought it was pretty cool.
