Well, there are updates on other sites, just none here. Mangareader is where I read it now.
I'm surprised there are no updates on here, I haven't read this manga in about a year or so, and really want to see how Takamura is doing in his fight.....

At some point this manga could pump me up to start thinking about doing some sport (not boxing though ) and I liked the art to the point of drawing stylized fanarts and saving some parts on my hard drive just to get back to it, for the sake of adoring some good piece of manga art.
But then, after few hunred of chapters it lost all of it. I quit after around chapter 900 quite a long time ago...

lol. this one is epic in terms of supermassive chapter numbers. Naruto ended on 700th, bleach, onepiece, fairy tail are not too different in numbers, even the legendary super saiyan and doraemon can't match ippo in terms of chapters.
and seriously, hajime no ippo is trapped on a boring cycle. when i thought it would finally end, Morikawa sensei prolonged it instead. sadly, not in a package of nice sweet surprise. it's all the same: preparation > win > another character's bout > preparation > fight > lose > grieving fillers > another char's bout > preparation > fight > win > another char's bout > preparation > whatever
boring.
but i'll follow it anyway. in search of the magnificent hope of miraculous plot twist and ending
