This series has really grown on me. Hope it gets scanlated again soon!
try judaism. because of one couple, all of humanity was cast out of the garden of eden. and any grudge shall last for seven generations. luckily there's a limit to that at least.
it's all due to human nature though. if you hate the father, then of course you'll hate the son as well. and children grow up learning a grudge that they don't know the reasons for, but still keep just because of their parents. nowhere in the world is there a need for mythology just to fuck things up for your descendants.
What does he want to do with more power? Power to rule over everything? So its "world domination" (well, "underworld domination" in his case)? Honestly...ruling the world so it doesn't fall apart is hard and time consuming!
