Omg! after a long time, I can finally read Guyver! fantastic work!
Indeed. Data File, Volume 8.
I didn't realize that "Archanfel" was the official romanization. I just liked it that way for the symbolism... which I guess is canon and not just my interpretation? lol
And you're also translating the data files??? Above and beyond. I can not overstate my appreciation. ^^
You are correct about Archanfel. I've went through some of the data books of previous volumes and Takaya does romanize his name as Archanfel. I will be sure to fix this mistake in later chapters, as well as other names with official romanizations. I will also change Apollon to Apollyon since that is most likely how it should be romanized.
To those wondering why the delay, the next chapter is the last one in the volume, and since it is the 30th volume, Takaya went and several data pages for it which I've been working on. I was almost finished, but then I had to move and start work. Once I get settled in, I'll resume on work.
You, good sirdame, have all my love.
You are doing Gods' work. All of them. All the gods.
One VERY minor "criticism" of your translation: Alkanphel. I always liked the romanization being Archanfel... with how close it is to "archangel", which given his history... I feel is kinda intentional. (Obviously, your rendition isn't wrong at all. Since A-ru-ka-n-fu-e-ru... l's and r's. I just prefer the likely intended symbolism. Hence why it's minor and not really criticism at all.)
Seriously though. I can't thank you enough for this. (I can finally easily introduce people to this series thanks to you. Well... when you finish with the old chapters.)
thank god someone took up this great series again
February 2016. And his last chapter was April 2016. He hasn't released anything in over a year.
Tell Takaya that, not me. It's been like 6 years and he's only released 2 more volumes after this. I thought he was dead, but Zeorymer Omega is still coming out quite regularly, so...
Thanks for the chapters.
Now I have some hope that I can see the end of it.
One of the classics, wouldn't miss it. Hell it's one of the first series I watched when I got into anime. Back when Blockbuster and VHS were still a thing.
Wow, I've come back and my comment had so many likes. Didn't know people still followed this series.
thank you for all your hard works as those are much appreciated! Keep up great work and thank you again!
So, uh, I decided I would translate this among the two Saint Seiya manga I'm doing right now. I'll start from Volume 30 and go to 32 (184 and 185 have translation errors, probably because it was machine translated, so I'm redoing them). Then I'll work my way back to fill in for terrible scans and poor translations (Viz wasn't the best in that day).
I was wondering what the deal is with the bold, and looked at raws... It wasn't there.
(Sorry, couldn't resist the temptation to complain. But it's really distracting and spoils an excellent scanlating work. A shame.)
He dropped the series. ><
Back to only one group scanlating.
Ah now it works. Previously all the subforums were removed (see monument)
