This is another grand classic shoujo brought to us by vince. Very funny, very heartwarming, anyone who didn't catch this the first time around should really give it a read. I might re-read it actually.
Pon-chan is the idiot heroine to end all idiot heroines--but she has an excuse. After all, she's a dog. And really, I know there are a fair number of transformed-animal heroines around, but Ponta doesn't act like them, she acts like a dog, especially in the early chapters. An enthusiastic, friendly, big-hearted, poorly trained dog. The kind that bowls you over and licks your face enthusiastically and eats everything in sight. Watching her in action is hilarious.
It gets a bit more emotional in the later going, but it's still great. The very ending is kind of an ass-pull but I was so fond of everyone by that time that I didn't care.
