| Description: | High-schooler Nishino Aoi is a history nut who's in the archery class at his school. Due to his skill in archery, he sometimes thinks that he's more suited to the Sengoku period of Japan. If he lived then, he imagines he might even have a girl like his clubmate Seno-san as his wife. As it is, Seno-san is his friend and the girlfriend of his childhood friend Kouta. When a mysterious fog covers the school, Aoi gets his chance to experience the Sengoku period first hand. The entire school is transported to a time period that Aoi pinpoints as somewhere between 1576-1582, near to Azuchi Castle. However, things are not as bright as he might have imagined. Armed men accompanying the historical figure Hachisuka Koroku attack the school, brutally murdering teachers and students. Will Aoi and his friends be able to survive this deadly era? |

so nobunaga is just a useless druggie in this?

So, in this story, Akeshi got Nobunaga on drugs? Author really likes to add madness to the characters.
Anyone know where one might look for the raws for this. im having blind day and cant find anything.

Guilty as charged that I'm not quite good with the names yet. But if I may say, my favourites thus far are Naginata Captain and Pingpong Maniac.
The point of his character is to stop being a beta. He has to start as one if you want to see character growth. I'd understand this complain if it was from a harem of SoL where character growth takes a backseat to the status quo but this types of story don't really maintain that.
Not to mention it hasn't been like they have lived there for a few weeks/months. Its been like two days where they have been overwhelmed. The only ones who have adapted well are pretty fucking crazy.
My thought on the current chaps:
1st, their existence and interaction with the past is already a violation. So if the MC really thinks that changing history is a thing, then why doesn't he consider letting all the modern ppl die?
2nd, the MC can't even shoot/ kill to save his schoolmates and teachers, or even swallow the thought that killing is necessary, but he keeps repeating that killing "specifically" history figures is wrong? What about the foot soldiers and others not mentioned in history books?
The inconsistence in building the MC's thought and moral compass is ticking me off. Sorry if I can't express it well enough, but I think sth is wrong with the MC's mind and priority.

Oda Nobuna is nonsense, but its good nonsense. It just has a really awkward subject. (Japan has never reconciled the fact that it fucked itself over by killing/vilifying pro-Western radicals like Nobunaga.)

Seriously now, this is actually a great series, it's just building up; if it wasn't so behind on EGS' priority list you guys would have a greater time in a more tight schedule.

this manga is not bad, actually i like it a lot. The only problem is that it's slow i mean realllllly slow but not bad at all if you have patience and if the scanlator group don't fall too much behind with the releases.
I don't know if somebody have told you this but in the second chapter they say that saru was Akechi Mitsuhide's nickname. That's wrong. Saru is Nobunaga's nickname for Totoyomi Hideyoshi

Aaaarrrgghhh... Will it take 100 freakin' chapters before he fires that stupid arrow? JEESUS!
I am greatful for the work Easy Going Scans does, but, gratitude not withstanding, the breaks between chapters really kill the momentum of the story, so I might just lay off and let the chapters pile on for a bit.
In truth I was referring to the anime adaptation by Madhouse (never read the manga), which was actually pretty decent (with excellent animation from Madhouse - the anime's opening is a good example).
Similarly I have only seen the Nobunaga Concerto anime - but the manga has won a number of awards I believe. NC is an underrated gem - definitely one of the best of the 'timeslip to feudal era' mangas - strongly recommended, check it out.
But both of them (Nobunaga Concerto in particular) are considerably better than Gunjou Senki (at least so far).
