Quickly caught up by bloodthirsty murderers, they are saved by a strange-warrior with the face of a leopard. Suffering from amnesia, the mysterious savior only remembers his name: Guin. Twins explain him their situation and decides to help Guin hoping to learn more about its origins. On their way, they meet some allies including a young girl from an ape-people, a mage and a mercenary by the name of Isht Van. The small group will rally the tribes Sem and legendary giants, the Lagons, to expel the invaders and to avenge the massacre committed by Gohra. |

I actually don't know whether I would enjoy reading the absolutely preposterous amount of material that would be (Guin Saga holds some records for series length), but I have to admit I remain curious as to where and how in the 100+ novel run this devolves into proto-Yaoi.
The horrible thing about Guin Saga, though, is that even with 100+ novels the author never explained all of Guin's heavily-foreshadowed mysterious origins before she died.
Cool, thanks for posting this!
the novel is gonna be translated starting from vol.6 here and they would like have some help in translating cuz you know its a lot of volumes, like 132+ volumes
What I don't get from this is that the guy complained from the anime to the manga why did you search the manga just to say your meaningless opinion stop being a troll
This isn't the side story this is the manga based on the early part of the story. The side story is called 'Guin Saga: The seven magi' although it doesn't seem to be in Batoto as usual.
Anyways is there any news about new chapters? or is it dropped?
It's a shame that this Guin Saga manga was only based on a side story within the Guin Saga Light novel series. I wish they've adapted the entirety of the novel series into manga form. I would of loved to read it, would've certaintly been one of my favorite mangas.
I had heard so many good things about this anime, but all of that shatter after halfway through the storyline. It was then, that I decided to look for the anime’s story origins. I found out that it was based on a light novel, and as mentioned by Bom Bom Hotdog, it’s one of the longest written works out there. From what I’ve read the author’s written works are pretty good. I guess the problem lied with the director of the anime, seems like he did not take the time to read through the actual light novels, and skimmed through them instead, I can see why it turn out so insipid…such a waste of time…
the series has 130 volumes and has been in publication since 1979
Lords of the Ring/Sinbad of the 7 Seas/something..(forgot the title...)Nice work.... more please... and thank you....
