I'm a bit sad that the manga can't replicate the perfection of the VN's art and pose.
Other than that this manga is a pretty good adaptation so far.
So more or less Yumiko route but taken from Yumiko's PoV. So far so good though.

By the way, I'd like to note that, after reading ahead in the raws to the currently published chapter, I can confirm that this manga will be following Yumiko's original Grisaia no Kajitsu VN route, not the rewritten anime route. Rejoice!
Also, for all the previous transfer students, Sakaki's been getting inside info from Chizuru - especially for Makina, but even for the students with less high-profile pasts, Chizuru's been calling Sakaki into her office and sharing whatever she does know about them.
Sakaki's used to having lots of information and being in control of situations, and has learned to be very mistrusting of things she doesn't understand fully. With good reason. Her past has been filled with deception and people trying to use her (which we'll be going into in a few chapters). With Chizuru holding out on her in terms of info - giving her nothing but a clearly doctored report and a guarantee that Yuuji won't turn the place into his harem - Sakaki is getting frantically paranoid. And that paranoia is only fed by her inability to find any more information about Yuuji using her back channels.
She knows there has to be *something* in his past, or else he wouldn't be coming to Mihama, nor would her father be interested in enrolling him. And since she can't find out what it is, her only conclusion can be that it's something all the more worth knowing!
Am I the only one that finds funny Sakaki is harping on Yuuji not being normal when abnormality is basically a requisite for attending Mihama?

To be more specific, Chapters 1-6 of this manga adapt the "Prologue of Grisaia", a bonus route from the Grisaia no Rakuen VN. This is, just as you say, a story or how everyone got together. After that, though, the manga continues with an adaptation of Yumiko's route from Grisaia no Kajitsu. Unfortunately, I don't yet know whether Yumiko's story here will be the VN version or the anime version (they were very very different).
But there should at least be some drama, although probably not much tragedy (even considering Bad Ends from the VN, Yumiko's Bad End was much less "bad" than the other 4 girls).

I doubt anything particularly tragic will happen here... This is just a manga that tells the story of how everyone got together, rather than the actual drama of the story.
