MC finally went on badass berserk mode. The story is good so far..hope for some group to pick this manga up, would be a pitty to let it unfinished

The story shows a massive amount of progress with each chapter. Thats rare in today's manga. I look forward to this release.

@nzrock - No. Shutendouji is a manga by Go Nagai. Goumaden Shutendouji is a manga based on the story of Shutendouji, which is a full-fledged 6 volume manga, not a 'side-story'.

This... Wasn't the original kinda... I think I remember renting an old, untranslated laserdisk (!) in the late eighties with the title translated as 'Star Hand Kid'? Well, it's been over two decades, I could be completely mis-remembering it.

It's really a less violent (not just in a graphical sense) version of Devilman.

The base theme is almost the same, and also the way demons are described is close enough (at least the way the Snake Woman describes inner deamons).

I also prefer the avoidance of too much fan service/ecchi/ecc (total opposite of Nagai ^^ ), being a shounen could help, for once.

yup like Ayeros wrote the manga is complete in the country of origin but atm we only have 6 ch from the 1st volume translated ^^'

I think the "ongoing" or "complete" status refers to the manga's status in the country of origin, so in this case it should be complete.

That said, the author of this sure likes to draw monsters. The plot is interesting too.

This series is incorectly marked as completed- according to baka updates there are 7 volumes. There are 6 chapters.
