Didn't mind the end of sekai oni at all, this one felt a lot more anticlimactic to me.

It sure was a nice ending. Any plans to translate those shitloads of text in Mangaone's extra pages?

It's planned but I can't give a date when we release them. I'll bundle the omakes to match the volume. (Omake 1 to 9 as chapter 9.5 and release them together and so on)

I'm fairly sure Uru wrote "Azuma" as "Azma" in Sekai Oni, so I doubt that he would mess up again and write that differently, "Asuma".

Last pages we have Taichi see the dragon and there's some digital fizzling.

All points out to the fact that they're still in their coma(?) state.

It was never revealed that Taichi actually activated the program(Hello World).

The black bird (aka goodnight world) is now an actual success.

and despite that, the biggest tragedy is their receding hairline and male pattern baldness. shit indeed.

And the manga ends with impressive ending, tons of possibilities for readers to imagine mmm...

That's one fucked up first chapter

This final chapter is starting to spook me.

70% of humanity was swept into that singularity, and with those last few pages of Taichirou spotting the Red Dragon (from Chapter 1!) in the sky, perhaps that reality where everyone's bodies continued like normal was a sham as well.

 

The "stray scientists that went missing", and the program that Taichirou didn't activate. In the end, two realities subsist:

-30% of humanity salvaging the techless world from the corpses of the rest.

-70% of humanity in a real-world replica, fed the sweet lie of having returned.

I don't think that's possible. Rather, it was probably a rushed and poorly conceived ending, or, alternatively...

These last few pages pretty much redeem the manga.

Awful, but its over.

Hahaha holy shit that ending.  other comments have noticed it, but yeah, the last few frames definitely could lend the thought that they're still in game.  70% of the population is rather huge... not to mention not everyone 'returned' from it.  It's the sci-fi version of a mass hallucination maybe!  That or a technological singularity.  Hell, maybe even the brain-in-a-jar theory.  Man, i love speculating about stuff like this.

Can't say I'm surprised given its from the same author as Sekai Oni.

Well, its quite a ride I guess. Not as crazy as Sekai Oni but I feel like the story about the family was handled much better imo.

Very sudden ending. Second time the author does this. His stories are great but the endings are decent at best. I don't know wether to keep reading his manga or not. A tough choice for me.
