Description: Golems are beings created by the widely-respected "arcanists," and obey the commands of their human masters without question, being used for all sorts of tasks. But Noah is different: created by Lemech, a low-level arcanist, he seems to be the only Golem with a conscience and a soul, and looks no different from a human. Out of admiration for his father, he wants to become the "second best arcanist in the world".

To that end, Lemech entrusts him to his friend, a grumpy woman named Eir who also happens to be an elite arcanist. Noah's learning is only beginning…

I think the series *is* starting to recover from its time skip, luckily.

It gives me the Black Clover feel w.r.t. pacing. It's very, very fast, and that's to its benefit, because it's ultimately a very simplistic series. One Piece is complicated but is no longer "fast" (there's a lot happening each chapter, but each arc takes a year or more nowadays), which is fine because there's enough going on that you're never bored. When you get simple and slow, you turn into Bleach. But Black Clover and this seem to be "simple and fast", and I'm hoping this series doesn't get cancelled.

I don't think this series is getting axed anymore, the author here is quite interesting, he's been pulling some really good ideas each chapter.

The MC is also getting a bit more likeable, no one has a problem with Idiot mc that are not annoying pacifists. Also, it seems he's even managed to leave the Sasuke-like character speechless.

Which is something quite refreshing, these guys usually have all sorts of arguments to use against the MC. But in here, Erebus has nothing to throw against Noah, especially since he had just shown pretty decent results.

I actually think that if this series is axed this soon, it'll be the readers fault and not the author.

This last chapter gives me hope that this series can improve beyond just "meh". So far its main weaknesses are really its main character and its villains (the few we've seen). There are only two female characters but both are the best characters, so if more focus can be given to them, I won't mind.

I'm still not convinced it can survive in the magazine when MHA and BC are already well established. But I do think the early time skip was a wise move. There was no point in focusing on the years before Noah became an Arcanist. That would have been like focusing on Naruto's years in the academy or on Asta before he joined a company.

Just gonna end it with this. I've seen worse stories go on forever, and better be cut short in their prime. And i'm probably not alone in having this experience, right?

Yeah… Like B. Ichi, Ookubo Atsushi's first series that got axed just as it was getting good…

PS: Fixed the synopsis.

Look at the bright side. Heard that the axe was coming for this manga, and now it seems that said axe just got put away with the appearance of this chapter.

Right??
I don't understand people's logic today, how come this get 23 page chapter if its get axed? Haha

On another note, the healer girl is there after all.. i missed that detail.. haha

from what we've seen so far, it seems like federation arcanists' main skills are "getting murdered offscreen"

Wha!? What happen to healer girl? Did she die or something!? Noooo!

who would judge you for one piece? and it was only for the first chapter, the first page had Luffy as an adult (youngster?, the one in the main series), the series started with the kid to show how it all started and to know Luffy's motivation and introduce a little about the world.  (in only one chapter)

this series introduced characters at the start and jumped years in the 5th chapter outta nowhere, that shows bad writting or external pressure, and that is bad in it's own way(not confident in their own plot)

Just gonna answer now that I see this. Read the rest of the comments that came from what I wrote.

Yeah, that One Piece comment was because a loooooooot of peoples comment usually are like "It's stupid, worthless, garbage, overrated and so on!" I made it to poke a bit of fun at those kinds of people that go out of their way to thrash a series because they think theirs are better! XD (I for one one, don't like Naruto all that much. Those who does, good for you!)

I'm saying that there are different ways for stories to be told. The usual is the good old see them train and get stronger in some crazy, weird or old style way (Or a combination of all three. Bleach had a treadmill at one point, Zoro from One Piece lifts crazy big weigths and there is those mangas with a variation of childrens game with a small twist.)

We didn't see Luffy train in the first chapter, even if we saw his initial age in the end of it when his adventure really started. Only later we saw a flashback of some stuff he did as a kid. You know, we get too see a small portion of what their training ensues in One Piece, but not be there when they go through most hurdles.

And that's ok!! Forget outside pressure or what not on the author! See the story for itself, without comparing it to everything else all the time (Yeah, I know, writes the guy who reference One Piece all the time! XD)

You'd be surprised at the number of edgelords who only ever watched the 4shit dub of the toei garbage adaptation of One Piece and decided to shit on the manga for the rest of their lives (even though they've never read it) because it's "too awful to be this popular".

But yeah, you're right on, if this manga had handled chapter 1 for the introduction backstory instead of the first five chapters, it'd be waaaaaaaaaaay less jarring. With that said, I'm still holding hope that it can recover.

that makes a lot of sense (well I'm lucky that not having english as my first language in the country save me of getting so much bad dub xD ... and for series like one piece, got to litlle adapted so I watched the anime in the original format most of what I watched ... and I'm more of a manga reader too xD)

this chapter pace was kinda weird, so even if I like the series ('cause I found the plot interesting) I kinda feel the axe is in the view (3-4 volumes tops, if it gets more, it would be awesome, already made the mistake with rokudou)

I'm guessing, the two leading in-universe theories about why the MC can use golem arts on himself is he is wearing his golem like armor but no one can see it (speculative) or he is a golem himself (actually true).

I'd like to think him getting found out as a golem would take a while, even though he's not explicitly hiding it and every character that found out is shocked but didn't exactly got their mind blown, I'm hoping for a misunderstanding that will allow him to stay hidden for a few more arcs.

So, edgelord rival that looks kinda boring. Well, looks like it's gonna get axed soon, I think.

Highschool DxD

Is a LN.

It's so fucking great, It reminds me of Zatch bell and I love it, I don't think timeskip was a good idea but it's okay.

Feel like we're rushing things a bit too fast tho, but author was forced to I guess bc if it goes slowly it gets axed nowadays...

Anyways I have a lot of expectations for this manga

Am I the only one who feels that the plot synopsis isn't exactly matching the content of the story? I mean 6 chapters in we've not even HEARD of the other character and the "secret" is literally only not known if you are blind and perhaps mildly retarded.

I'm pretty sure that's the synopsis for the one-shot

We will probably see flashbacks instead, keeping it a secret what he learned and how. Keeps a bit of suspence and thrills. Never show your whole hand to opponent's (readers!)

The first chapter of One Piece was a timeskip with a looooooooooooooong time after flashback after all! (Yeah, I like One Piece! Problem with that? XD)

Ok, after ch. 5 i'm sure it's getting axed.

A time skip from out of nowhere is a bad sign. We were just introduced to his new teacher so we could have expected the story to stay with her for a few chapters at least.

Don't worry this isn't a "time skip" as much as it is a training skip. The author simply wanted to ignore the training arc.

why does this give me a very Nakaba feel to it?

People always regards time skip early is a bad sign.. Really people?

>timeskip

uh oh lmao

Not worried. The one-shot for this series had a 15-ish year old Noah traveling around helping people, so I expected them to move quickly into that. The one-shot was really good so I was surprised at first that the started with Noah as a kid instead of the age he was in that.

Ok, after ch. 5 i'm sure it's getting axed.
