what makes erika snapped is the fact that Miho says "its alright if i lose" not because she said " someone other than me should become the vice commander"

 

by saying "its okay if i lose", miho already makes 3 mistake

 

1. erika has high pride.

she is very respectful of how a match was supposed to be a contest where both sides fighting with everything they have to the extent that she is willing to risk losing what she loves if she loses.

saying something like "i am not even serious on this match" is tantamount to degrading her pride and dignity.

2. she disrespect erika's teammate who actually fighting seriously for erika.

3. She disrespect her teammate who seriously fight for her

However, what Erika heard from Miho about this is not 'i don't want to see you stopped doing Senshado because me'. Its how Miho feels its alright if someone than her to take Vice-Captain mantle, and so she purposely losing. Coupled with the fact that Erika knows Miho didn't really like her new responsibility, it will comes out a bit too self-serving.

the wager for this match is if miho's lose, then she will step down from vice commander position, but she still can practice senshadou even if she isn't the vice commander anymore. and there are no consequences for the her other team members.

 

in erica's case however, she would have completely quit senshadou is she lose, and if she win what she got is she simply she could prove that her opinions is right. nothing else.

 

therefore 

if miho were to win, she thought that it was entirely her fault if erika stopped doing senshadou, (although it is not entirely wrong)

 

miho's heart is simply is too weak for that
