Surprisingly, the first chapter wasn't too different from the anime. But for some reason, I managed to understand stuff better.
when the anime first came out i was like "ooh a real type mecha show! how awesome"
after a couple of eps i was confused...
something about ancient aliens and noh dance?
the art style was stellar though
It's interesting how much more information is doled out in the first chapter, compared to the anime. The anime was obstinately obtuse about giving any but the vaguest clues as to what was going on; here I've got a pretty good idea just from the first 13 pages.
Well. Er. Comparatively speaking, anyway.
I wonder if the manga will be as openly fascist as the anime.

So 90s artwork. I forgot there was something about a moon in the anime.
