@HacheKa Actually, she is partly the reason why I still bother with this manga. I loved the Tae story, gave things a bit of heart, me thinks. Mind you, the whole "daytime lantern" thing was hilarious, so there's another thing.

Looking forward to seeing Kurono crush this guy.

Just saying, the choices are :
- let the big alien boss maintain the ship's direction towards Earth
- kill the big alien boss and watch as the ship's direction doesn't change in its lethal course towards Earth

In that direction, why not have everyone point his Z-gun at the waiting alien boss, and crush it once and for all ?

I don't think she's boring at all. To me, I find characters like Reika boring... maybe because I'm just tired of seeing heroines having to be over sexualized babes. Granted, I think reika's personality and growth are interesting, her character design and archetype is not.

Tae on the otherhand is interesting because she's doesn't fit that cliched archetype - the hot girl with a decent rack that every other shonen manga out there seems to like to portray as the main character's (kuruno in this case) love interest.

She's plain as plain can be, but that plainness is something that's away from the norm. She has her own charm, while not like reika or the other girl (was it kishimoto or something?) her character compliments kuruno. From the beginning Kuruno was shallow and selfish, but meeting Tae he changed (among other factors ) into someone with depth, substance, and full of compassion,

Despite me saying this, I did get a little tired of the couple chapters devoted to kurono's "saving princess Tae from _____" But because she means so much to him and has helped him grow so much, I'm ok with that.

I don't care if he's with Tae or not, it could be realistic and stuff but she's boring as hell and I doubt that someone is reading this because of Kurono and Tae's relationship, I already had enough of their shit, I just wanted some old gantz-ish stuff.

And I'm not complaining about because I'm an asshole, Gantz used to be one of my favorite mangas, now I just want it to end, sigh...

I don't like Tae because she's boring. Not her fault really, most love interests in fictional work are. Rika was also boring and big tits whatshername from the beginning was even worse. They're usually little more than plot devices which are never as fleshed out and carefully crafted as more vital characters.

Tae isn't there for me to like, she's there to give Kei more heart, depth, and potentially make him more appealing to a demographic that is also not me.

Doesn't mean that she doesn't make my eyes bleed every time she appears in the manga it just chips away at how willing I am to keep reading it. Which to be honest, it really doesn't need Tae to do of late.

get your panties out of a bunch! these chapters are necessary to show the huge burden placed on Kurono. this is a prelude to the end of this manga! The final battle against the greatest and strongest enemy. you forget that he just got back from hell, went through all that crap to get his girl back, loss everything, and now he must willingly give it up for everyone else? hes not Jesus, willingly giving up his life for the rest of the world; but he will do it for his smaller world. gonna take a few chapters just to get that across. if you want action, re-read the last 350 chapters. were at the finish line and its going out with a bang!

Really wish these chapters were longer. I mean, we're waiting for ages, and then when the chapter comes... It's just another pre-fight blablabla

I kind of like her. I hate how the girlfriend of the main character is usually a very hot chick who has big tits and is like too good for him. It makes the manga feel less realistic than it is.

I even put Super Shooter, because I used to listen to it when a good fight was about to start but now we're full of shitty drama.

I shed manly tears whenever she survive ridiculous explosions, apocalypse and end of the world. Yes, helpless person on surviving manga makes it more interesting.
it gives hopes to those helpless people around the world that YOU can survive by crying. Reika on the other hand is just typical boob actress who became part of the most badass gantz team assembled, a temporary leader and survive from many hardships until love killed her. serves her right, capable people can go just die.

Yes Ottaw i agree. Tae is a FART better character. Seeing her chapters doesn't piss me off, it gives refreshing feeling like im reading a shoujo manga. A typical generic damsel in distress who is awesome at crying, drawing, crying, manga, running naked while crying and swallowing kurono's semen. It's a damn whole package of awesomeness + loli body.

It's about to get down right now. They're all going to continue crying and once Kurono happens to survive the first swing or two, they're going to think he might have a chance in winning... Then the cheering begins. lol. I can kind of see it happening, but you never know. The unexpected can also happen. Though it's expected in a few. lol

@Ottaw Hey hey, her virginity was already lost to Kurono, I don't think she'd dump him for you. She's too innocent to initiate a break up with him. hahahah. jokes aside, I too like her, but like every other guy, I also like Rika. Other than those two, my favorite was the girl near the beginning that let him have sex with her right before she died. Sad... she was an interesting person.

the thing is she is a FAR better character than rika. rika is your cutout manga/anime character. huge boobs, succesful, long hair, large blah blah blah. i am somewhat tired of these characters.

tae on the other hand is a pretty simple girl. shes not super smart, at least i dont remember her to be, her looks are somewhat plain. no super powers. she is the most normal character in a super crazypants manga. and i think that is her demise for a large part of the fanbase. i'll like her and i'll take her 100 times over those big tits i'm in every manga/anime girls.
