Author: Aoyama Hiromi
Artist: Yamane Kazutoshi
Genres: Action ActionAdventure AdventureComedy ComedyDrama DramaEcchi EcchiHarem HaremMystery MysteryPsychological PsychologicalSchool Life School LifeShounen Shounen
Type: Manga (Japanese)
Status: Complete
Description: The story is set at Shishidou, a school attended by rich and elite people. Tomu Shirasagi, a gambler, is a mysterious new transfer student who has come from a public school (instead of a prestigious private one) and faces the elitist environment. There, he declares a challenge toward any student and claims he will bring to the ruin the whole school through a series of gambling matches. Nobody knows why he has come to that school or what the real motivations behind his actions are.

During any match, Tomu shows off all of his unique coolness and ability.

He employs a wide range of tricks, both psychological and physical, to ensure his victory. In any game, you will constantly ask how he's planning to win, why he's really doing certain things, and what's really going on. At the end of the matches, the tricks are revealed, and they all work in real life, even if they do require one to be highly skilled or lucky in order to perform them.

The story centers around the various matches he undertakes and the interactions between the various characters, like Mika Shishidou, the beautiful granddaughter of the school headmaster, who is highly intelligent but contemptuous and superb, or Abidani, the vampiric looking dorm superintendent and main villain (for now) in the series, who has a sadistic personality and whose goal is to make Tomu leave his school (or to get him killed).

As the story unfolds, more about Tomu's past is revealed, leading to unpredictable turns of events.

Hey, hey.  They are middle schoolers right?  I'm just asking because there is not much middle about those figures.

This was one of the first manga I picked up, waaaaaaaay back. It got pretty ridiculous by the end, but now it's over suddenly nostalgia hit me.

Thanks for doing it, Uncharted and everybody.

I'm really grateful towards scanlators for finishing this manga. Even though last chapters were kind of messy, especially those semi-final matches with mahjong oh boy i probably understood only 1/5 or even less of what happened. I'm also quite dissapointed with how toru is another mc who despite having all those girls (beautiful to boot) and half of them declaring their love he does and says nothing, i would really prefer if that "joke" extra chapter (i can interpret it only as such, african devil demon? it's even more ridiculous than whole of story of this manga squared) was a chapter with toru and the rest of preferably only girls laying near the pool or at the beach ofc with tooru at the center.

i lol'd a bit too hard at that extreme extra

I think that the fact that the writer draw that herself is a clue on how to interpret that extra, like a joke, something not meant to be taken seriously, I mean if they allowed themselves to use that mediocre art and even mentioned something ridiculous (even for this manga) like an african demon or whatever, those pages must be meant to taken as something like a dream or a delusion produced by an severe case of food poisoning.

IMO, it's the author saying she didnt like and respected the manga, pretty much as i did.

It's a mess, why not making it a little more messy, right? i mean, she tried to make a Liar game themed manga but she couldnt handle it so she turned it into a "WTF-im doing it for the LOLs" fest, but at the end of the day, who cares anymore?

i agree.

what nacchan marry kazuki  and have a kid    nooo i didnt need that extra i hate when a character be in love with mc for almost all the manga and end with his best friend

Thanks to all the people that have worked in this story through the years. Even if there were some times when this became a little bit too dumb I am glad to have read this manga, I really liked the art and laughed a lot with some of those ridiculous challenges.

Some final thoughts:

  • Tomu joins to the not so exclusive club of asexual main characters, stuff that while common in the manga world is as unbelievable as some of the games of this manga.
  • We saw Tomu's mother just briefly, I feel that that could have been a character that could have brought some interesting developments to the story but developing a deeper story was not a main priority, I guess.
  • Seeing this and other mangas from the deceased OMFGG-Scans being completed gives me some hope to see more long-time forgotten mangas receiving the love they deserve, thanks for that.

Thanks for the final chapters!
