Oh my god, it's like watching a train wreck unfold before my very eyes. What is this guy doing. The moment he jumped in with the "Stay Tenmiko" comment, I instinctively had to switch windows and read something else for a few minutes out of embarrassment for him. I don't get why his sister doesn't just tell him when he's doing something awkward though, or rather explain why it's awkward instead of her minor resistance. 

 

I really do hope this series gets picked up again... Tikus seems to have it simply postponed instead of abandoned... Here's hoping they get back to it.

to tell you the truth as a guy the way they speak in this manga is creeping me out a lot but oh well it is interesting so why point the obvious ehehe

@Damienthedevil: heh, very understandable ^__^ Not all of it is that explicit, though, and a lot of it is just flat-out hilarious. 'course, we all have our squicks, and it's usually best to stick to the stuff that's your cup of tea.

Finally an update. I've already finished skimming though the sequel though so it would be great to see it translated.

@Theoderich: Well, that's a gross overgeneralization. Fujoshi come in many types and... degrees, I guess. And I always read that girl in Fujoshi Kanojo as more jokingly shipping her boyfriend, and not actually actively wanting to see her boyfriend sleep with another guy. (I'll admit I was slightly uncomfortable with how much of a doormat he seemed to be at times, though, but that's regardless of the fujoshi issue.) 'Course, I read the manga, the movie might be different.

Basically, she has what western fujoshi ("fangirls") call "slash goggles." Once you put them on, they don't come off, and you really can't stop seeing pairings everywhere, even if it's not something you'd want to watch, so to speak.

...and are you countering being uncomfortable with yaoi themes/homosexuality by trying to make those responsible uncomfortable using Pedobear/pedophilia? Really? Really? Consenting sex between two adults* vs. sex where one party doesn't have the emotional maturity to make that call?

Also, guys are almost expected to enjoy two girls kissing - or doing more, for that matter. Why should it be disgusting for a girl to think the same about two guys? I'm not quite sure whether you're a homophobe, a misogynist or just ignorant.

Note:
* I'm disregarding the sadly common rape/dub!con themes in yaoi (ugh ><), because it's a whole different can of worms, and so not only a yaoi thing; it's very much prevalent in all the manga genres.

I've watched the movie fujoshi kanojo and I tell you it's just creepy. I mean,imagine you'd have a "gay" girlfriend that wants to see buttloader action starring you as the maincharacter... *blergh* *hits his head against a wall* ... noone needs such a girl that isn't able to have a normal relationship with a guy...

This manga seems to want to provoke the reader with head-on confrontation with such suggestive themes, but sadly it has no effect on me
I'd just send them Pedobear to hit them all with a stick xD

@Ch16 lol, translator needs to read more BL; most people reading BL in Japanese should know that "neko" and "tachi" are slang for "bottom" and "top" respectively. (aka "uke" and "seme") ^ ^

@Acolyte, I STRONGLY believe that the cat is the censor for actual guy x guy. You wouldn't want to see the actual thing do you?
I like this manga as it serve as introductory manga to fujoushi culture rather the usual otaku stuff lol.
