Hopefully they'll beat some Homunculi and then find the Philosopher's stone that can make the big guy human again... wait what?

I really like the art style and general concept. Most interesting thing to me was the siblings and their relationship. Everything else just felt a little shallow though, story could of been a bit more logical, interesting and less tropey. Some things just didn't flow. Would be interested in it as a series, just needs work.

Well, it's all about sales numbers. Isekai is not what we Westerners think about when we talk about "Fantasy" or "other world" stories.

They totally abandon the original idea of magic as a demonic power, trample the demi-human races by making them 08-15 animal-like monsters, give the main character some overpowered ability to nuke every threat coming his way as the typical infamous "villain of the week" Sentai series-trope and, on top of that, add too much fanservice and "harem genre" to +- every story just to get away with poor and boring writing abilities.

Death March is bad, sure, but not the worst story out there. No point in arguing, though, even Zero kara hajimeru isekai seikatsu was getting stupid, generic and boring fast, although it had a really good pretext during the first few chapters/episodes >_>

I don't specially dislike Isekai. In fact I love some of them (Goblins Kingdom; Tsuki Ga,...) and I like to read a lot of them (I.E.: not really love but have fun moments reading)(That person later on, shield hero, isekai Tensei soudoki,...) but I can't find myself liking Death March.

I can't understand his popularity. There is easily better isekai. I don't think it's the worst, but it's bad compared to a lot of isekai. The only plus I find is that all the girls of the harem keep their personalities through the story (Impression from the manga).

E D G Y A S F The Japanese do make manga shitting on other organized religions too, but those are sadly too obscure; or perhaps most scanlators just think their audience simply aren't interested because it isn't Christianity being shitted on.

a lot of manga also shit on the old shinto beliefs as well. In fact, a lot of horror manga and other media are based on the human sacrifices and sketchy practices they used to perform. Religious practice just isn't as strict in japanese culture. If someone was going to pray for success on exams, its not uncommon to visit multiple shrines and/or temples if its convenient.

Never understood why people like Death March so much. I mean: the novel is just cliche upon cliche of isekai novels. At the very least Re:monster has an interesting start, before it turns into a chunibyo dream like Death March. But Death March, since the first chapter I understood how everything will work: get girls and become more powerful. (Well, at least I have Goblin Kingdom)

Btw, I thought that

for me, its the fluffyness, especially Tama and Pochi.

And the MC is kinda capped, so he can't get much stronger, except learning to chant.

I don't really care about him either, I just wanna see our slave girls grow up ;)

Anyway, we are kinda lucky Abel isnt a snotty edgelord, who turns on his sister for having all the power, when he only got the demon body, for now that is...

ofc the church ppl are always the bad guys

That's the only part of the series which is fairly realistic; have you seen what the Catholic Church does when it gets a hold on a country? They gave Spain general Franco, Ireland had the Magdalene Laundries (they're still finding mass graves!), medieval France had constant civil wars are violence because of them (as did England and the Low Countries), Italy is wracked with scandal because of the Vatican's shady politics and finance, they helped kill off the native populations of the Americas because of the gold and silver available... and that's not even touching on the pedophilia scandal which is still ongoing (they just found another pedophile priest in Minnesota who was transferred to cover up his deeds as recently as 2012, long after the church said the problem was over) and which the church continues to try to hush up. Protestant churches aren't any better, but this was very clearly about the Catholics.

>pretty original series only gets a one shot

>garbage series like death march gets an anime

Sad.

So much for being divided by appearance and power. It looks like the Big Sis got all the good stuff.

this is....... great. Whoa this needs to be a series.... the potential is really there for it

Hope the Author eventually continues the series,  it feels like it has potential.

This and Black Torch, the artist really got great art.

this is from the creator of Black Torch (currently running), don't get your hopes in a serialization for a while.

still, the story looked pretty cool.

Spoiler

This is pretty legit

I hope this can be a series someday

Ok, I can see this as a series. Nice.
