Спасибо группе Manga Gears за перевод!

Dropped due to being licensed in English?  I guess that I'll have to start hitting amazon.com, since this is definitely one of the better manga and mangaka out there.  I started with Futari no Renai Shoka, which definitely had a different "flavour" to it (total understanding of bibliophiles, cliches non-existent, and characters so realistic I expected to meet them the next day), and went from there to Mahoutsukai no Yome, which blew my mind in an entirely different way.  Her understanding of British (Celtic and Gaelic as well as English) mythology is pretty thorough and her ability to create an English setting is unparalleled compared to the manga set in Europe I have come across so far.  I'm American, third generation from England, and was raised on Ingolsby Legends, Charles Dickens, George McDonald, G.K. Chesterton, and Sheridan LeFau, and Yamazaki Kore can create an English landscape inferior to none of them.  I am currently as deeply engaged in Frau Faust and Mahoutsukai no Yome as I was in the Nausicaa manga and Nodame Cantabile.  There is definitely a great many fine manga out there, already finished and currently being written, but her works are at the top of my list, and I'll definitely buy them in English (hoping desperately the translation quality is as good as Maigo and Golden Roze scanlations) when they become available.

Dropped by Golden Rose and Artificial Demons since the project has been licensed in English.

*offhandedly search "faust" because why not*

*find new yamazaki kore mango*

in this moment I am euphoric

Did it really say Byzantine Empire in the raw? Roman Empire is what I feel it should be since I mostly see the Byzantines as a eastern mediterraenan based empire.

This one is MUCH darker than Mahou Tsukai no Yome.

Faust wants Mephisto's demon cock so bad. Feel bad for cuck-kun.

Josei? Really?

A good work's target demographic is rarely precisely the same as the set of people who would actually like it. One must always keep in mind that a "target demographic" is something thought up by publishers, not by artists.

Sees yamazaki kore Follows That said, this is my type of manga lol

Josei? Really? Seems like general adult fiction to me. Well, no matter the target audience, this is a really beautifully done manga. I'm quite happy I randomly stumbled upon it and am really looking forward to more chapters.

I've never met a guy named Marion before and I've been in America a large portion of my life.

There's more than one American male politician named Marion Berry. Maybe you haven't met them but they're around.

You may have also noticed that Faust looked a little different in that dream.

I really hope you aren't saying that because there is gender bending in this, it shouldn't have the gender bender tag.

I've never met a guy named Marion before and I've been in America a large portion of my life.

the only man I know of that was named Marion was John Wayne

Sorry about the delay for chapter 2. I had it translated quite a while back, but was a bit too busy with IRL stuff to do the final pass. Hope you enjoy!

As an additional note, you may notice that there were two sketches at the end of chapter 2. There were meant to be sketches at the end of chapter 1 as well, but we forgot to include them. I've spoken to IcarusX/amtt about it and we should have a new version of chapter 1 with the sketches included and typos fixed uploaded once he finds the time.

Hm, they never get the names right. Marion is known as a woman's name in Germany, unlike in the US where it is mostly used as a name for men.

i guess instade of killing him the devil took his manhood.

As you may have noticed, this Faust is female. The Faust in "Faust" is male. You do the math.

Sooooooo about that gender bender tag...

(Inst-followed though)

Shouldn't it be: "Delighted by such a tempting offer...", instead of "Delighted such a tempting offer..." on page 5?

Edit: Also, on page 20, the lower right panel, it says "bok" instead of "book".

Argh, I keep making typos like this when I go back to fix things. Really sorry about that. I'll see if I can get it fixed when we upload the second chapter.

EDIT: I've sent amtt/IcarusX the fixed pages. He handles the uploads, so follow up with him if you would like.

One arm, a head... Oy oy, that's one frantic puzzle ! More action than I expected...

Mephistopheles' journal : Humans are SCARY. Plus crazy PERSISTENT.
Dismemberment ? A piece of cake compared to a woman(?)'s wrath !

More borrowing names than following the original work, but oh well ~ seems amusing & lovely.
Thanks for TL !

Also, you can't really call it "reinterpretation" of Faust. At least not for now. It uses some characters from Faust but has otherwise nothing in common with it....for now. We'll see if more stuff from Faust will get implemented in the future :)

Ooooo I knew I recognized the art, it is from one of my favorite authors!!!!!
