Sarebbe stato bello se fosse stato più lungo
Really surprised by how good this sports one shot is.

Because it's a single chapter, most of the time you have to think about what do you want to focus on, what to take out.

Also most of the time after finishing a one shot it always feel so short, or parts feel underdeveloped

But this one shot has it all, romance, intensity and love for sports, good comraderie and friendly competition, using your love interest to motivate yourself to improve etc.

I liked that the girl was physically strong, and at the same time was emotionally stable as well. Oftentimes we get cases where the female MC is physically strong but the instant they fall in love they collapse.

That also makes sense because dealing with emotions is all new to them so becoming weak to the unknown is possible. But as a reader we'd always lean toward an all around strong character, otherwise they'd get too annoying I suppose.

I also like the girl didn't completely pander to her crush and was focused in playing volleyball and not just swim in her emotions.

At the same time there were enough romantic tension that was cute with their bickering and it was nice how it ended too.

Because we get confirmation that the love was mutual, yet not completely dating because that'd be way too quick. It left room for them to strive for the future in both sports and love and ended it with the right pacing and moment.

I'll definitely be checking out the mangaka's other works and hope they are just as good.

i just love this art

cool..

Oh, it's been a while since I've read something by Mitsuki Kako. As always, it's very cute. I don't know how old this one shot is but her style seems different here, maybe it's just because I haven't read any of her works lately.

It was also nice to see there was no drama, but that means the story is also a bit empty.

Overall, it was a good one shot.
