A nice guess - but a guess nevertheless - although I'm very much in favor of such an ending for Eureka Seven. The time I saw the board soar again was like: "Yay! She's back!"

They didn't die. They just couldn't return back their world for the time being.

In the first anime episode, it shows clearly that AO occurred before the original in the timeline. Corralian left the planet after the original's final episode, while in AO people is still fighting them, further more, they are addressed as unknown enemy, and there are more evidences.

I don't know why Ao's mother looks like Eureka. May be Eureka and Renton go back to the past and get a kid there ^-^*. I support the idea the that Ao is Eureka and Renton's son, since I think it would be awesome and the anime (first episode) hints a lot.

i thought at the end of the first anime Eureka and Renton died, was I wrong? if i was then i got mad at the end of the anime for weeks for no reason

Ao is the child of Eureka (and it is confrmed that the Eureka in the flashback is THE Eureka) and PROBABLY Renton (I hope, it is the most logical thing, but it is nowhere said).
Also, Eureka Seven Ao is suppossed to continue after the Eureka Seven ANIME version of the story.
@Excluded I hope you are wrong. We also loved Anemone and Dominic. We don't want the manga ending for them either

I Gladly say this again that Ao is the child of Renton and Eureka..
Because if u read the manga of season 1 it is true thar Eureka was gone but if u analyse it u can understand that Eureka returned because the board suddenly flew and coralians return and most important is that the bord flew because the bord will only fly if there is trapar so I conclude that Eureka return w/ the skyfish/ coralians and she took the hand of Renton..

So I wish that Ao and I have the FEELLIINNGG that is the son of RentonxEureka !!!!!

@On Alamaxca The FP Ao pilots is white though. The fact that there's vast ocean and sun suggests they're either in the inner world or this is just an alternative universe. If this were a sequel based on the anime then the Nirvash shouldn't exist at all considering how the last episode ended so this could be a new LFO that renton and eureka constructed. My guess is that the Eureka of this planet is just an almost ordinary inhabitant of the planet itself, LFOs in the form of FPs still exist for some reason, perhaps as a human made military thing. Maybe this is a prequel that explains how the scub coral got the "template" for Eureka and the LFOs? as in they will get assimilated at some point and the scub will blanket the sky.

@dragoon7575. BONES is the name of the studio who animated this series, as well as the related Movie. It was originally an Anime, then there was a manga adaptation, and this should be a spinoff of anime series from what everyone is saying.

whatta wah!?! i just found this and there's already an anime? i just went and read the prequel (heart touching) and found out about this and now anime!?! Interesting, gonna do some research on the anime but sweet to know.

The FP is black while Nirvash is white. Even though Ao has Eureka's hair and his mom looks like Eureka, we can't say for sure this is the same world as previous Eureka Seven. Calendar is AD 2025, there are Japan, sun, no sight of trapar.
Well, until next chapters, all we can do is guess.
But if Excluded was right, this would be awesome.

The FP he is using belongs to RentonxEureka.. that means the protagonist of this is Renton's SON..

No other way.. Hell YEAH!!!!!!!
