Description: Kosumo has a serious medical condition that landed her in a hospital ever since she was a child. Since Kosumo's blood type is the rare AB negative, it is next to impossible to find a donor. While she was on the verge of death, out in the city, the 99th Generation Miko, Himiko-sama got into a terrible accident while trying to save the life of a child. She was rushed to the hospital and that’s when Himiko and Kosumo's fates crossed. Since it was obvious that Himiko was surely going to die as a result of the accident, the hospital decided to use her as a donor for Kosumo’s condition after they discovered that she also has the rare AB negative blood type. Kosumo got better and moved back to Tokyo, and later found out that Himiko’s heart and blood aren’t the only thing flowing inside her…

Really good read.  Good story and I really like the art.  Akaishi Michiyo is a genius.

I know I'm answering 3 year old comments for an old manga, but I think this does need to be addressed. For the two comments about blood types, while yes, AB- can receive blood from ANY of the other negatives (O, A, B, AB), the TOTAL percentage of people with those blood types in Japan is less than 1%. O- = .15%, A- = .1%, B- = .2%, and AB = .05%. And while these are modern percentages, I'm sure they haven't changed that drastically since 1997. Which is why they say the United States is her best chance of finding a donor. The United States negative blood type total is about 15%.

Also, Japan's population in 1997 was ~126 million, making it where only 630,000 people in Japan have negative blood types. So... I think you might be seeing my point. While yes, AB- can receive from all the other negative blood types, the number in Japan would just be too low, so they would most likely be in very short supply.

Little fire dog thing was so cute :) Overall, I found this to be an enjoyable read

Then its worth the read. Not my favorite, but still worth the time. :)
To add on to what metalking said, the blood type that is hardest for the owner to find a doner is O- (the universal doner) as they can only recieve blood from another O- person (if that's what the author was going for). The easiest is AB+.
this was kind of confusing!
i liked the plot, but not the story itself.
Fun fact showing that the author didn't do his or her research: AB negative can receive blood from any donor with a negative blood type (O, A, B, AB)
