That was the single most retarded thing I've ever read on the internet and I've read tons of stupid stuff before. My brain cells literally died en-masse from reading this stupidity.

Shoujo ai shouldn't be a problem, due to balanced hormonal distribution, a woman would more likely have a natural attraction towards both genders. While men, lacks feminine hormones(except estrogen, as it is present in small doses, but it is not the one responsible for this kind of behavior either way, so just ignore) and thus are way less likely (if not woudn't)to feel attracted by their own gender.
Meaning, Shoujo ai should theoretically be easier to accept, than Shonen ai.( Also, two cute girls > vanilla, who cares about other men? Oops, I said that out loud, didn't I?)
bikini armor - the less skin coverage the higher the defense and buffs!
I would highly recommend you do watch it. It shows the relationship of the characters a bit more. Plus you can watch all the OVA on Youtube.
As for the comment by shndany about this being shoujo ai...personally according to wiki about Dream Hunter Rem is it shoujo ai, however after watching all the OVA, it doesn't really reflect that genre. I read this manga a bit and can't say if you are right or not.
So, do we "need" to "watch" the OVA first?
