Agghhhh quiero leer el proximo. Gracias!!!

Does anyone have any links to the raws? I checked raffmanga but for whatever reason couldn't find a link.....

I'm enjoying this more than I thought I would. I just wish I could have found it after it was done being translated.

Josei, on average, is probably worse for that than shoujo.  Lately not as much josei has been scanlated and so when it is, it tends to be the best.  But for a while there were a bunch of typical josei out there, and seriously a lot of them were crap.  Hackneyed plots, shallow characters, men all high-powered obnoxious a-holes, sex often substituting for feeling or characterization (because after all, it's "adult").  Bleah.  Kimi wa Pet, they were not.

Spoiler

Yeah...sex is often used as a plot-device. I mean, there has to be a reason why they crawl back to the asshole and have the hots for him,.....right? =_=

There are about 40+ chapters of this out already, so can someone who's read the raws tell me if this is actually a fun light-hearted read, or does it turn into the usual multi-rival/bed-hopping/girl-gets-wet-from-his-aloofness mess we so often see? The "josei" tag does give me hope

The answer is neither. It's not a fun light-hearted manga, although there is humour. It's actually quite angsty and sad. I wouldn't call it depressing though, it's just the characters go through some stuff so you feel for them. It's hard to explain without spoiling lol.

And it's not the other one either. Although the guy is a playboy, that's only shown in the first few chapters, it's not really a big part of the story, although it's an important part of his character, for reasons I once again can't explain. It's kind of like we know he is one but that's it. Also he's not a douche, on the contrary he really cares for the heroine and protects her, though he does tease her a lot.

Honestly he's a very complex character, as is the story. It's one of my favourite Josei. There's also no real love rival. I can't go into details without spoiling a major plot point but yeah... Just read and you'll see what I mean ^^

Also if you're curious you can read it on raffmanga (I believe they've used the translations from there, with permission), 20+ chapters are translated.

Also chapters 48 came out today and it's the last one so the manga is now completed and I liked it all the way through.

Your conversation reminds me of the 1st time I read the part of the non-fiction, text-only American book Your Money or Your Life where it teaches you how to figure out your REAL living wage, including expenses such as the pricey drink you take to unwind and how many hours your work really takes out of you, including the time you have to just sit on the couch decompressing when you get home, your commute to work, your commute to that drink I mentioned before...

I never finished all the steps in the overall program, but that one lesson is worth buying the entire book for. See the authors' non-profit's website: http://financialintegrity.org/index.php?title=About_the_New_Road_Map_Foundation

...and then you might understand the bliss of being an office-lady in a Japanese manga. :)

Does anyone remember the title of that one-shot with the female lead being a financial adviser? That's kind of connected to these posts, too.

Keeping aside the facts that (i) the whole world does not work like North America (ii) Self-help books are perhaps the most useless waste of time and money that there is in prose form and that (iii) not everyone drinks (you cannot blame your choice of self-poison on things like your job, and you could utilise many other hobbies in place of drinks, e.g. manga), I challenge you to find me a job which does not stress you out and lead you to "hours of decompressing", and I will show you the daydreams of millions.

Fact of the matter is, having a steady income, health insurance and a peace of mind from that end is better than eking out a survival jobless but not having a high-pressure job.

And I know the joys of being an OL very well, thank you very much ^u^

And that description was quite vague... I can name at least 3 one-shots like that... do you have any details, maybe then I can pinpoint a title~

Same... especially in today's job market. I'm not one of those people that look through fulfillment through their work. I know that even if I do my favourite things, as long as someone makes them into an obligation they will become hateful to me. So as long as I get a steady income, enough holidays, and reasonable enough people to work with, that's good enough ^u^

For me its a dream, nice 9-5 job, regular, nice chair, sitting down, go home and just forget everything. Earn enough money.

Obviously there's downsides to everything, and many atimes I aspire to do more (and justify my degree), but beggars, or in this case, fresh graduates, can't be choosers. So an OL job is completely understandable, even if you yourself don't want it necessarily.

Oh, and I would prefer if some commenters kept in mind that people spend a lot of effort into making the manga, as well as its scanlations, so negative comments were kept to a minimum. Or rather, not made at all ^u^

Nah, I can't understand the bliss of being an office-lady. even considering working culture in Japan. Still ng.
