don't understand how a song can be made into a visual series

Guess someone's never watched The Wall or Yellow Submarine

WTF..

not a fan of these rather ridiculous song-adapted-to-manga visual series.. don't understand how a song can be made into a visual series (and purely because it's popular, as opposed to having a good premise/concept, etc)

Well if it's executed well it can work, and the premise is based around the meaning and the MV, but most of the times the writing sucks.

this one for example, the story doesn't make sense, too many unexplained terms, the pacing is all over the place, and the incosistent atmosphere. Is it a serious story or is this just a gag manga? I can't tell because the dialog, character's actions and reactions and the setting doesn't go together.

Some did have a somewhat better writing, like BRS (black rock shooter), which is kinda cheating since there are many interepretations of it, so there are bound to be some good ones.

But many suffers from lack of cohesive story.

Same...makes sense though. I mean, the songs usually have a good enough premise/concept which is why it gets popular...but most song-to-manga adaptations kinda really suck at using that world/concept to make a "good" story (which is basically the most important part) lol

(I have yet to be thoroughly impressed lol. Kagepro and its anime was iight but yeah...couldve been better :P)

Tbh I don't really get what's going on, but I guess it shows potential. I'm looking forward to the second chapter, maybe I'll understand a bit more then.

And thanks for the scanlation, Nekyou.

We're rebooting this series back again. Chapter 2 soon! We're still looking for JPN translators to help us out on reviving some of our old series.
