I've been noticing lines like "How is it that you have come here personally" quite a bit in situations like these in translated Chinese historical webnovels.

I changed the description slightly. Hopefully, the connection is clearer now! Yes, it is comparing man with nature. It's actually a short part of a much longer passage from Huangdi Neijing (黄帝内经), an ancient Chinese medical text. Pretty much what it's saying is, man is like nature, and is thus subject to the various forces affecting nature in the same way. Then, you're supposed to provide treatments following that.

If you want my interpretation, well, the stars and human teeth are both numerous and ordered. The earth's little hills are little bumps, and aren't the little trifles of human life like little bumps in our paths?
