I feel like Seido's win streak and general optimism is building up to something very ominous.

 

It's probably gonna be a Miyuki injury in the America vs. Japan game isn't it? Especially since last chapter said something like 'We had a 17 win-streak before Miyuki left', and the fact that Koshuu is in the first string.

 

The author wouldn't put a prominent catcher in the first string unless Miyuki is going to explode his knees or something. And then make a triumphant return in the inevitable final vs. Inashiro when Seido is getting their asses wrecked by Mei.

Miyuki's already injured himself before.... I doubt/hope the author doesn't recycle this plot point.

"I just want to be the number one in Japan" -- okay Furuya.. how many times have you reached this conclusion already?

Enough times for you to know to be patient because he has autism.

It wouldn't make any sense at all for Furuya or Sawamura to switch schools. Their families moving wouldn't affect anything because they're both attending high school away from home (living in the dorms etc, as most of the baseball team is doing).

Anyway, I wonder how much of Miyuki we'll get to see when he's off being a Tokyo rep.
