There's a certain special charm to things that are well-written but terribly drawn. It's sort of like finding buried treasure.

Captain Haddock?  A Tintin reference?  Cute.

What about Chapter 6 ?

Denma is the best webtoon there is as far as storytelling goes, shame it hasn't been translated up to where the real good stuff starts

The art is quite good

I agree, it's not your "classic" manga (or manwha) style, but if you had read some European comics (Continental, not UK), then you wouldn't be surprised that much (especially those of the 80'-early 90' or in Mag "Metal Hurlant").
Plus, I don't like talking about japanese manga style as if it was something monolithic, coz frankly each mangaka has its own drawing style. What some people expect is run-of-the-mill commercial drawing style ... just get out of your comfort zone, it's quite enjoyable most of the time

It's not that the story is messy. The universe of the story that the author created is extremely vast. There is actually 2 webtoons that the author created that can be read along side this, although that you don't need to read it either to understand this series. I am though, thinking of picking one of them up as it will make season two much more enjoyable.
