That one panel where Mami I think it is had the normal lips of most manga she looked quite attractive, then one again came the uppper lip and she looked like she had a moustache.. Also disgusting pig woman's hopefully gone from future chapters

I recommend reading all the other DL stories before reading this one. They're more quick pace and will give you a general overview of what the author wants the readers to know (like morals of a story). This story is quite toned down (for now) compared to the previous DL mangas so if you just jump into this, you'll be in for a lot of surprises (probably).
As for the fact if it's yaoi or not. I want to say that I don't see how this manga being yaoi or not makes a difference but I realize I can only say that because I already know what the DL series is about since I read them all.
If the story is still the same as Deep Love - Host, I still really want to read through this manga. The pacing and dialogue both feel much better and the story feels much more enjoyable to read.

DL Real provides more information and backstory for the characters around Yoshiyuki so that we better understand the things they do. I can actually tell characters apart and I'm actually genuinely interested in them. DL Host was also pretty melodramatic, and I'm hoping that DL Real turns out more serious.
....the deep love series isn't about "happy endings" perse. It's more about getting real with the ugly shit that happens in life (excuse the language). I'm not hoping for a happy ending, I'm more expectant of getting slapped by reality. By the way, the author is still the same person for all the DL series including this one. If it were to change, it'd have to be decided by the author and who knows if the author is up for it.

I just read it, it's not shounen- ai.
Its really recommend to read the prequel - Deep Love - Ayu no Monogatari before reading this series. Its definitely not shounen-ai, well atleast for the main character that is.
