DanganRonpa Gaiden: Killer Killer

The executions in V3 were quite good. The execution of the game itself though...

The plot twist in the first trial was grand, but by the end of the game you're scratching your head going "that's it?"

Feels like it's gonna be ZTD all over again, at least this one will have a good twist. 

Umm... it's a gaiden... it's literally a side story which is not related to the actual main story, and it's function is exactly to expand it's universe. Have you never read gaiden stories? ._.

In the volume 1 omake, kodaka stated this was directly tied to DR3 on the last page. But then again, kodaka has been known as a liar to mislead his fans, so it's not that surprising. 

That was bullshit and didn't connect anything to DR3 at all, or contribute to anything, even. The only thing it did is expand the Danganronpa universe as we don't know all about it. At least it finally ended. Hearing a lot of bad things about V3. Can't wait to see how bullshit it's going to be if the quality of writing is on the same level as Killer Killer.

The only upside to having to wait 5 months for the english release for V3 is that by then he might already have his next project in the works.

I don't know how I expected any semblance of a satisfying end that wouldn't make me want to bang my head against the wall like all previous chapters did, but hoo boy. Glad I gave up on this franchise long ago shortly after the second game.

There's a lot of things I've been willing to give Dangan Ronpa a pass on. This chapter is not one of them. This is just too ridiculous. 

So he means to grow old and die with her? I like the head cutting thing too. It reminds me of the 1 molecule thick blade thingy from Until Death do Us Part

I didn't catch that at first "super lovers suicide", I guess growing old and dying together in a roundabout way does count as suicide. 

Also, I dropped that series so long ago, the main guy was too edgy for me. The detective was cool though, probably would've kept reading it if he got more screentime.

Whelp, that's that then... Didn't really add too much to the story and I guess the lie this round from kodaka is that it didn't really tie into the DR3 anime at all, aside from the characters being there. Though maybe one of his other lies is that this isn't really the last chapter and there's another bonus chapter that will be released next month. Or maybe he'll release another hope episode of the anime with them in it, now that would be awesome. But, there's also the fact that asano and hijihara are still out there, just like kanon nakajima and haji towa. Whether we actually see them again is the real question. 

By the way, a cut so clean that the head can resume normal functions and live? Real?

It was never confirmed before. People were really upset that Tengan's motives were way too blurry and nonsensical.

Nothing we already didn't know. One more chapter left... Will we get a generic everyone lived happily ever after or a late game breaking twist? Granted I can't think of too many things that could throw a major wrench in the operation. He already tried the "mukuro is still alive" BS card...
