Tusk and Ange in the anime just remind me of Jude and Milla from the game Tales of Xillia. Except there's less sexual tension in this.

Lol. I was wondering what way they'd parody Sylvia.

Regarding the actual episode:

Spoiler

Regarding this show, how can someone destroy their own story so much, its own MC lost it's position to a nobody, just cause that nobody was a male?

Hilda x Ange, Tusk get out of the way.

this manga is great. . . its comical represent from the show itself what going on. . .

well ill be more agreed on this ver anyway than the actual one =_=

A frying pan... Really? A FRIGGIN' FRYING PAN!! Talk about random... Not that I wasn't happy about it of course... >_>

Maids are number one!!!

These are always so amusing after watching the episode...

In the anime, despite having a few male characters (including 1 that likely would end up with Ange, the main protagonist), it is strongly hinted to have a lot of female-female pairings (about 3 1-1 pair and Ange herself having a 3 girl 1 guy harem)

What do you mean hinted at? Did you forget Zola? And Hilda's threesomes?

much better than the source materia.

Always a joy to read. Something fresh to wash away all those complicated feelings from watching the anime. xD

And I am NOT looking forward to the next anime episode. T^T
Thankfully this is here to help with it.

Yuri-tsundere-girl confiiirmed (~ ̄▽ ̄)~

Sooo . . . I notice that while the tag says "yuri", people are discussing the MC falling for someone referred to as "he".  This does not superficially sound yuri to me.  Whence this discrepancy, can anyone explain?

In either case there's none that warrants yuri or shoujo ai yet from the manga.

Shouldn't mislead readers.

Genre tags should reflect what the manga is about not single incidents.

Same thing with the Tragedy. I don't think that tag belongs here.

Well Ange does fall for tusk but at the same time there are some girls that are also after. Also there are other girls that are in relationships with each other. However I have to wonder if it should be changed to shoujo-ai seeing the manga isn't as explicit as the anime. I think this line of thought should also be extended to the smut and tragedy tags... actually was there even anything in the manga so far that deserved those tags? Or did someone just add them thinking about the anime?

I actually don't have MUCH against him. Sure, the romance seems INCREDIBLY forced. But he has rescued her twice now. He is not an incompetant who is stuck to her leg, dragging her down.

Aside from that, he has saved Vivian, AND managed to kick major ass while he did so.

That he has no social skills is acceptable considering his forced hermitage.

That being said. I agree that he should not be getting anywhere with Ange yet. The relationship that has blossomed between them is much too forced. She should still for the most part not care about it. EVEN considering things like the suspension bridge effect. It just isn't in her personality.

Hell, if anything, MOMO has the best chance as a romantic partner so far. Nonetheless, as much as I personally would ship her with Hilda, Tusk does come second after Momo in possible romance.

That is all.

I understand, but the point is, anyone could've saved her twice in each situation, there are other mechanics who can fix Vilkiss should it get damaged, every little change in Ange's personality had been brought about by the situations she has been and her relationship with the other girls(maid girl included). There's simply no space for him there, the way she acts around him completely goes out of character and all her feelings for him grew from impossible coincidences.

But the worst thing was the fact that Ange fell into that island while the battle was being monitored, but NO ONE inspected the battle videos afterwards to locate her, that's the only reason why she had to stay in the island for so long. The rescue party arrived right after her feelings for Tusk changed and that was the biggest insult to our's, to the viewers intellect.

This episode was legendary to me for the cameo inclusion of GPX Cyber Formula's Asurada vs. Orge drfit race.

And ¥1,000,000 to play a round of golf, LOL!

That pretty much summed up the whole episode once again.

Well...that's pretty much the point of this omake manga.

Another one who don't believe strong woman should love man

and I don't see you talking about /u/ fanservice

Don't talk smack, I never said that. However a lover is not what she needs, especially not right now. What she needs is someone who can help her in the front lines, she needs fellow soldiers, not a distraction. Tusk is an even worse match, he's like a bubblegum stuck in Ange's soles, he add's nothing to the story, and it's only there for triggering fanservice scenes. And of course i won't talk about fanservice here,  fanservice in Cross Ange is not even close to being a detriment to the plot, unlike other ecchi series.

He deserves it. There's not even a reason for him to be there, Cross Ange's story is already interesting enough.

Ange doesn't even need a lover, she's a strong willed, independent woman, she needs no saving or personal support, and she definetly needs no "princess" . What Ange needs is friendship, and that ridiculous excuse for a living fanservice trigger is hindering that development, all his episodes feel like filler ones, and that romance feels forced and rushed. His existence is meaningless and brings nothing to the story.

The stuff Tusk goes through.

Having not watched the anime, I have to say this 4koma is pretty terrible as a standalone manga.

Not surprising, since most of the jokes in it are meant to play directly in contrast to the contents of the same numbered episode of the anime.
