The conclusion to this wasn't definitive, and parts were messy because a lot was happening, but there were moments that made the oneshot not as typical.

I liked how they used the 'shadow' to start the 'romance' because I don't see that often in shoujo. Also the shadow is later used to indicate her body was taken over.

Overall, I didn't really care for the characters of both MCs, but it's a change from Tanaka Meca's usual characters, which can border on too nice and passive, and her overall stories lack tension/stimulation which can get boring/insipid over time.

I wished we could see more of the guy's personality or habits, to make him more well rounded.

Tanaka Meca excels more in romance comedy but if she incorporated more 'doki doki' moments like the shadow, she could definitely be one of the better shoujo mangakas. She has a good touch, knowing when to add 'restraint' to certain romance scenarios, and when to 'run with the moment.' I feel like a lot of romance shoujo mangakas lack that sixth sense, or their editors lack that.

I didn't like "Faster Than a Kiss" from the first chapter, but I'll give it a second chance. From the first chapter it feels too little tension between the leads, and the guy is too smiley and passive, but maybe there'll be more tension. I also find the lack of progress (based on reviews) from chapter 1 to 56 frustrating in any romance shoujo manga.

Back to topic. Not a bad read, not my favorite though.

Really fast paced but enjoyable I guess.

And that was fun, even better was seeing info about faster than a kiss(something i forgot about even though it was good) 12 volumes huh, well guess i need to get caught up with that sooner or later

Really cute and funny!  (By the mangaka of Faster than a Kiss)

Enjoyable and adorable! Pretty sweet oneshot.
