It ' really ended?
Because judging section 27 is made to understand that his mother is alive and I would be curious to know if it is true or not. O.o

It's quite interesting to watch the divergent opinions about the relationship between this and the anime.  Some like the anime much better, other appear to hate it extremely.  Seems to depend how much value you put on the outre for its own sake and on interesting symbolism, on the one hand, versus how much value you put on narrative coherence on the other.

to be clear i don't care about symbolism or outre, i just like interesting characters, drama, and weirdness. the characters here are much more straightforward, boring, 2-dimensional. very typical yuri characters with no hint of the creativity of the anime. for instance ikuhara specializes in conflicted antagonists and this barely even has antagonists, much less conflict. it's got way less originality, it reads like any other morishima story but with random elements of the anime haphazardly splashed in. it also took out all the social commentary like imercenary said, and the setting really doesn't work without that.

not sure what you mean about coherence either, i thought the anime was at least as easy to follow as this is and way easier to follow than most "symbolic" anime a la evangelion. probably the simplest ikuhara anime in terms of plot and his stuff is never as complex as the rest of the fake deep anime genre. his characters don't even suddenly turn into god in the last episode usually!

got nothing against silly sugary samey yuri normally but in this case its like reading a harry potter no-magic high school au. only most fanfic authors have more interest in characterization than morishima's showing this time

just my (objectively correct!!) opinion tho

Well it doesn't help that the anime had a pretty strong, and critically un/popular, social message.

Compared to the anime, the manga is a generic yuri story. And thats fine, but its nowhere near as bold.

i usually like this artist but this feels like someone surgically extracted all the good bits from the anime

by which i mean this is way less weird/interesting

OK, this new girl suddenly throwing a curve or two.

What? No pedo bear jokes?

The anime is actually the original. And I think it's totally different because Akiko Morishima (the person doing the manga) is being given more creative liberty with it since the anime was directed by Ikuhara only.

As I understand it the anime isn't exactly "the original".  The story I heard was that the two of them got together, figured out characters and a sort of basic starting point together, and agreed to take it from there more or less separately in parallel, Morishima doing a manga and Ikuhara doing the anime.  Ideas came more from Ikuhara, character designs from Morishima, but neither version is precisely the original or derived from the other, they're co-equal.

What in the world is even happening anymore? I'm so confused, things seem to happen just for the sake of happening.

Makes perfect sense to me.  More than it did at the beginning; things are starting to come clear.

Spoiler

Any help?

Okay.

Watched the anime. It is unbelivibly confusing. High production value, bizarre unredemible plot.

So bad.

Woah the anime is so different from the orginal. This one has males in the school XD. And the story is so way different.
