Traveling in a airship would be ten times more comfortable. It'd be a hundred times safer. Not to mention the badass factor. Oh ya I forgot to mention how much faster it'd be. MC/Author is wasting his potential.

EDIT: I wouldn't be surprised either if it's later revealed that the key to the nullifying aura was to feed those monsters human remains; more specifically, divine artist remains, so breeding them is ultimately a big no-no for the heroes and knowledge about them is suppressed so that others don't get strange ideas.
