Rather disappointed. I'm not quite finished at this point and am going to see it through, but it seems Matsuba-sensei wrote himself into a trap, playing the long game.
I don't know if the end was planned, but the plot climax was poorly executed. If you read the oneshot (prologue), you get the idea that the author is trying to cram too many ideas into 50 pages.
This manga was fun and both played with my heart and made me smile.
I liked the ending, but page 16 of Chapter 31 really threw me off.
The extra was great, since I like how it described Tayuki's time in gradeschool and how he met his best friend.
is that some writing convention or because the raws were taken from the French version ?
Honestly, the plot's ridiculously shallow and boring. Nothing surprises me ever.
Also, chapter 21 was retarded. Suddenly there's a third personality somewhere, and everybody and their dog seems to know about it. Even the old woman who hasn't seen Maki in more than a decade is psychoanalyzing her. I'm not impressed with that development.
Remember how at the start, when it was like 80% insecure girl whining about her future and 20% badass yakuza chick kicking everybody's ass? Now the insecure whining girl is nowhere to be seen, and honestly I don't mind. The badass Maki is the best Maki.
WHICH ONE OF YOU DIVIDED BY ZERO YOU BASTARDS?!?!
It's the same body, genius. The violent personality is more prone to crossing her arms which makes things look a little different, but her body is the same.
