This feels like the manga from Nozaki-kun, its just missing some random boxes and tanukis at this point

Why they say they HOPE Greed and the other one can deal with high level demon when Greed is already stronger than demon king?

The story already establish that Greed is the strongest being in the world so I cannot view any demon who come by as viable threat

He certainly can't be beaten through direct combat, but it can be a lot harder to beat an enemy that is trying to, say, run away or accomplish something else.

I think they meant with minimum damage to their own... Like without blowing up the palace. Hahaha, since it was kinda implied that he wiped out the demon king castle and everything...

Why they say they HOPE Greed and the other one can deal with high level demon when Greed is already stronger than demon king?

Except that's only the premise.  And that the story is for all intents and purposes being presented as a romance, and not a parody/deconstruction.

And the relationship between the pair is fucked up and dysfunctional.  Not only is it bad at being a romance, but it's bad at deconstructing/exploring the premise of an NPC having human feelings in any interesting detail.

I'm actually more surprised that people have a "drama" tag instead of a "comedy" tag because, in my opinion it's about half and half at best. (I mean.. really the demon king was a macho macho mr. clean looking dude if I remember right) So just by going for that we aren't looking at a standard romantic shoujo.

Whether you agree that it does a good job or not with the comedy, that's what it's supposed to be. If you don't think it's funny that's fine, but please don't go overboard saying how terrible it is. If this was a straight-forward romance with this happening I would agree it's a horrible story. But it's not intended to be. And while I myself have pointed out how awful the MC is it's not meant as a PSA of what to watch out for, more like agreeing the author is doing a good job making the situation impossible. If you don't think this is funny just read something else. You don't need to flame it, because it's actually not taking itself seriously.

Um... I'm confused is Renas a guy or a girl? Because in chapter one they say Renas is a priestess.. but then in chapter 9 they call them "Lord Renus" (thus male) ...then in chapter one they say that other than his childhood friend the other party members are male. Was that a type and they meant to make it plural? "Other than his childhood friends"? Cause I was kinda hoping to find out the thief girl and the priestess were an item.. but, it'll be boring if it's just a thief girl with a priest XD

Also lends a bit more credence to Aria's shock over "...wait you two are an item?" when Renus says they were flirting with Millie

IT'S A TRAP!

Well you at least don't have a double standard so I can accept that opinion. However I disagree with your opinion that physical abuse isn't the same as mental abuse. Why? Because at the same time Physical Abuse *is* mental abuse. There is a reason it's called "Battered (insert gender here) Syndrome" the abuse keeps them just as mentally trapped and in a high stressed situation as Aria is being put in. "If this person is like this because she likes me... does that mean she'll get even worse if I try to leave?" becomes a common theme. The only difference between this and that is that the "state" is keeping her stuck in this relationship.
On that note: I never said that this was the basis of a healthy functional relationship. I am just stating that *this* story is no different then having a crazy tsundere girl. The only difference is the genders are reversed. For example, there is an Anime called "Rizelmine" where the MC is completely railroaded by the Japanese government to marry the titular character. If she cried nitroglycerin would seep from her eyes and blow everything up.

This is not a story about the healthy love romance between two characters. This is a comedy-gag romance between an extremely unstable character and a "normal" girl (anyone who calls themselves a mob character and lampshades it is not normal either just saying). Yes they have a dysfunctional relationship but, that's also kinda the point of the story. If you want a story where it's a well balanced growth between the two characters look for Horimiya or "Say I love you".

You can't exactly say Horimiya has "balanced growth" anymore. If you haven't read the recent chapters, the mangaka has become psychotic. Hori is now a masochistic fuck, and Miyamura has "friends."

... When did I ever say that I thought that that type of behavior was something I had no problem with?  I do.  I don't really like Tsunderes, or at least the type that you think of when you hear the term.

Also physical abuse on the level of punching or slapping isn't even REMOTELY comparable to trapping someone in a high-stress, high pressure relationship that the recipient doesn't even want.  Male MCs have the choice to tell that Tsundere to fuck off.  Aria has no such choice.  She's obligated to marry a possessive, manipulative, emotionally unstable man that's capable of destroying the world if he so pleases.

This is not the basis of a functional, healthy relationship.  Relationships where one is obsessively possessive over someone completely unwilling, does that sound right to you?  If it does, I suggest getting your brain checked.

....okay with the sheer amount of stories out there where the female love interest goes "tsundere" and inflicts PHYSICAL VIOLENCE upon their love interest I don't think people should be so upset over this pair's level of crazy. How many stories are there where the woman "hits" "beats" "sets ablaze" "breaks a limb" etc etc of the MC out of jealousy, shyness, being offended by the fact he saw her panties when it wasn't actually his fault, etc etc? So it's okay for the girl to be completely unhinged in the relationship but god forbid the guy be the crazy unstable one? If you don't like the story don't read it but, don't try to attribute flaws to it when in the reversal of roles it gets considered completely okay.

There's a hero who saved a princess from the demon lord, and Aria refers to herself as "Maid A". This is supposed to be a commentary/satire on disposable game characters. I mean, in almost every RPG the NPCs do things with no reason given, it's a trope. Aria also went on and on about everyone expected him to fall for the princess. Why? Because that's what the heroes do. This isn't supposed to be real to life, it's supposed to make you think about NPCs and what would happen if they actually had lives or feelings.

Short answer: No.

tl;dr: It's a self-centered jerkass with deep-seated Freudian issues one-sidedly pursuing a relationship with a reluctant damsel. It doesn't matter how handsome and powerful the guy is; this relationship is creepy even by shoujo standards, and shoujo manga are known to generally favor stalkerish, abusive jerks and to paint them in the most sympathetic light possible. The readers were already aware of how horrible this relationship was a couple of chapters in, myself included.

This ideal is part of the reason people end up in bad relationships. You have a toxic partner and then romanticize the idea of changing their personality or mentality to form a healthy relationship sure it makes for a good shoujo story but shoujo manga usually goes to the psychological root of a toxic person's deepseated issues, real life that never happens, so you have some people thinking that love and support is all you need to cure a bad partner.

In this case you have a person with a deepseated and deeply rooted issues with dealing with people and their own emotions, basically he is either emotionally muted or emotionally stunted. He seized Aria for one of two reasons, he is a manchild that doesn't know why he wants her but he does and is clinging to her since he doesn't know better we might be able to make the plot work if it is that, 2nd he is an emotionally muted person, but was severely touched by Aria in someway and wants something from her or her presence helps him in someway, and like previously he is incapable of expressing himself. probably a 3rd and 4th options but I'll pick these two as my top

Well that aside their relationship is one-sided with Greed completely cornering Aria. and her surroundings are pressuring her. She also has major issues of escapism, improper handling of personal issues, and inability to express her own opinions.

With these two issues for both characters we can develop a proper romance but expect either a long arc or a horrific falling out over them to reach a proper relationship resolving it.

It's not just the readers, the characters in the manga feel similarly, especially Greed's party members.  He's dangerous and unstable, and nobody can really do anything since he's so strong and unhinged.

Am I the only one who feels that Aria and Greed's relationship is awful?

This is... um... Am I the only one who feels that Aria and Greed's relationship is awful?  Greed just falls in love with Aria for no reason and with absolutely no consideration to Aria's thoughts on the matter (frankly nobody around her gives her thoughts consideration) pulls her along and basically forces her into a relationship.  Greed didn't fall in love organically, and Aria literally has no chance of falling in love naturally because she's being constantly pressured by her surroundings to marry a man who is the world's benefactor against her will, and that pressure will always affect how she feels towards the man in question, especially subconsciously.

This whole relationship just feels dirty and contrived, with neither side holding actual romantic feelings for each other.  I can't root for either, instead I'm just rooting for someone to come in and be like "no, you can't do this to a person.  Stop."  Aria shouting about her human rights being violated in one of the chapters sums up perfectly how I feel about all of this shit.

I legitimately sympathize with Aria.  I hope she doesn't actually develop any feelings towards him and it goes in some opposite direction, because this relationship feels incredibly manipulative and I don't like it, at all. I hope she re-obtains some sort of freedom and escapes this messed up forced engagement.

Followed.  I look forward to reading more and getting progressively more disappointed and depressed that it starts heading in the obvious direction it is, and Aria eventually resigns herself to her fate, I mean, develops Stockholm Syndrome and mistakes it for romantic interest, wait, no, I got it this time!--  """"falls in love with Greed and lives happily ever after."""""

Oh whatever.  What do I know.  I'm just a kissless virgin who thinks that women should be allowed to decide without pressure whether they want to be in a relationship or not.  Now I'm just being silly.  Fuck this manga.

Is it just me or is this really low resolution?

When the raws come from Alphapolis, the raws are going to be small. On the other hand that means s that there's little cleaning to do. You can always upscale it via waifu2x, but some of the patterns and textures will be lost. It seems that the font sized has been bumped up to make it legible.

There is something they CLEARLY are not mentioning when it comes to Aria. (rather she's more "special" than she thinks she is) since the goddess herself basically sent of a signal flare of "yeah protecting this girl is a very good idea" xP So I'm kinda curious on what her secret is (other than believing she should be nothing but a mob character xP)

it's not so much "believing" as she literally is a mob by the laws of her world. Didn't you read the manga at all? Although she did potentially job-change into "hero's fiance", but it's not like she 'already' was that.

>a big ass minotaur (presumably, with a big dick) doesn't impress her

Heh

And the princess got kidnap....AGAIN.. T_T

Don't worry she'll be learning from another kidnapped princess on how to make themeselves comfortable in the castle while waitintg for the hero to rescue them

The 4th wall is broken :)

I think it's more along the lines of oh Greed my favorite human, oh what's this? You like this maid person? I'll check her future and wow you should protect her as she's my favorite person's favorite person

lately the chapters are getting more heavy-texted, so first of all thanks to Flower Clock scans...

and second, I guess this was a novel adaptation? The artist is relying too much on words and less with the drawings.. I might as well go read a book =w=
