Oh my god, it's back! Thank you so much Summer Rain.

Grazie! ;)

I don't know where you got the "almost abandons the kid" from considering she wasn't even going to the station if it wasn't for Ginga. She owes the MC nothing, especially considering she was the one who reached out to him and helped him break out of his shell. If anyone is the "nice" character here, it's her. I like Ginga as a character but you also can't blame her for not viewing him as man considering he's 8 years her junior, 15 years old; and that's not mentioning how emotionally stunted he is for someone that age. It would be hilariously odd if she returned his feelings considering she has clearly viewed him as a kid up until this point.

But we can't be reasonable on an anime & manga website, especially regarding relationships so: yeah what a slut! The "badboy" kissed her on the forehead so she's obviously impure now! Trash, whore, 2DPD etc etc.

She owes him a lot you asshat. He's basically been an unpaid nanny for 2 volumes. She's selfish for not thinking about what he's getting out of that relationship. Never seeing him "that way" just means she's extremely insensitive and has been leading him on. Also 8 years is barely fucking anything. No 24 yr old should be seeing fully grown high schoolers as children. You'd need to have your head so far up your ass to think you're any better because of an age gap when you're both out of puberty.

>really enjoying it chapters 1-4
>all the characters are great
>pacing is great, looks like it's going to be a short manga
>enter new guy out of nowhere
>drama cranked up to 100

This is the problem with reading shoujo manga as a not-shoujo.

I agree with most of what you said. I don't want them as a couple. The one thing I will say is, Ginga helped her a little too. Although Ginga is growing more as a character right now. She won't be good enough for him when he gets stronger.

Wow this girl is so selfish. She's just doing whatever she wants and only thinking about herself. She almost abandons the kid with the convenient "nice guy", then rejects him rather harshly, basically saying "I never thought of you as a man, unlike that cool badboy that I spent an entire volume wetting myself over".

I think this is actually really nice.

Spoiler

It's going in a good direction, imo.

Gingaaa!! stay strong son!

One does not simply win against a stereotypical shoujo douche.

I read this in my head with Boromir's voice from Lord of the Rings and couldn't stop laughing!

Damn cliffhanger.. Way to end it. Poor Ginga.. Let it out.

Ehh, don't leave us hanging like that...

After reading that chapter, I had to let out a HUGE SIGH. The pent up frustration.. HAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH. Ginga, you think too much sometimes. Be more spontaneous. You're going to go bald.

I don't like triangles when they add unneeded angst and contribute nothing to the character's development or to the story's plot advancement.

But the love triangle here is nothing like the ones described above. It accomplishes exactly what it's set out to do.

Plus, if we'd waited for Ginga to find out all this information for himself we'd probably have to wait 10 or so chapters. They were at an emotional standstill really. Ginga was working through his newfound feelings for Momono in new, unfamiliar surroundings, as fragile and naive as a lamb, and Momono was being gruff and reserved, her exterior formidable for all her warmth and friendliness.

So yeah, the introduction of Shuu was a needed plot device to get the characters moving.

Oh damn, this manga is so good!
Shoujo with male Mc always good, because there aren't some jerk prince type maybe.

Oh, crude... The feels. The mutual feels...

In a strange way, the main protagonist of this manga kind of reminds me of Hachiken from Silver Spoon. They both start out as sort of the new kid in town, and are both longing to free themselves from the burdensome expectations of their fathers. Not the strongest connection of course, but I thought it was an interesting parallel if nothing else.

That said, I'm very much enjoying this manga so far, especially the way that the MC is slowly breaking out of his social naivete.
