ok so 2 questions.

1. this game world that the MC is now in, is it based on a real game or just made up for the comic?

2. why did the MC's character bully the other girl? she obviously doesn't hate low born people seeing as she keeps taking in all these poor people and hiring them to work for her and saving their lives. was there a good reason for the bullying or was she like 100% bitch?

2: I think, but not entirely sure, that our MCs "avatar" was trying to get some sort of revenge on the other girl because the 2nd prince dumped MC for Other Girl. So, as women do, she harassed the girl to some degree for revenge. We weren't told how or what she did though which is a bit annoying.

This is just really really good, the only drawback is that it's probably monthly.

It's such a pity that the light novel isn't being translated or if it is it's super slow. Because its a really in depth story and paints a very interesting "world beyond the game" concept.

Seems like Prince Eddy failed to pick a winner.  Adds a bit of perspective to your typical romance/otome works.

If you are going to try to bring this to reality, then separating family funds from the fief funds is also a terrible idea.

Just imagine that you are president of a country for life.

What do you live off?

You either get a salary from your position, or have to set up a company live everyone else.

Now, try to juggle the correct administration off a huge territory (specially with the inefficient and slow-ass tech of the middle ages, coupled with widespread ignorance, occultism, etc) with successfully administrating your own enterprise, AND not making laws that are favorable to yourself.

There is noting wrong with a medieval lord using tax money to live, as long as that doesnt mean the rest of the populace live in the streets, so your dog can have castle in your castle.

I thought the separation was to stop the rulers from stealing money that rightfully belongs to the citizens. I mean, there were mentions on how Yuuri was wasting money on soup kitchens and dresses, and basically bankrupting the kingdom, causing taxes to rise, and all that other bad stuff.  

While I would trust Iris to not take too much money from her fief, the same cannot be said for other members of the family, or for future generations. In fact, I'd be willing to bet in 200 years after she retires, all her companies will go bankrupt, due to some descendant taking too much money from the companies, and doing a bad job of management. *shrugs*

I don't really care if laws are made to be favourable to Iris' business either.  I also think that there should be a salary for being the ruler. It's a job, I just don't want them dipping into funds that are earmarked for other spending. 

And out of this whole manga, the part I enjoy reading the most is the diary of a concerned imouto...

I would like to see that spun out into it's own story, it's pretty amusing on it's own

I happen to enjoy the fantasy of bringing knowledge from the future and applying it to the past. I like reading about someone "inventing" how to make chocolate. The story doesn't spend much time with the details, but you know it's doable. You understand that this is something that can be done with the resources at hand.

 

Sane deal for the double accounting system. Wanting to form a business and keep family finances seperate from the fief is also a fine idea. I've read plenty of other world, reincarnation, stories by now, and they have all come up with interesting ideas, from making ketchup, to curing diseases, to gold plating bronze items. I've seen them come up with interesting business ideas too. All these things get an explanation of how they work. We don't need the nitty gritty but we get some details and have a rough idea of how they are going about it. 

 

Income tax though? That is not easier than the current system. It's not an obvious solution. Iris spends her time explaining how taxing income, rather than charging entrance fees, and such, can help trade, and I'll buy that, sure. However, she doesn't spend a single moment explaining how to accomplish implementing the system, and anyone that has done income taxes, or, rather, hired someone to do income taxes for them, knows that a fiendishly difficult setup this is. It's the most complicated way to be taxed, that I can think of, and it requires a LOT of bureaucracy to keep the cheating to a reasonable level. It just doesn't jive as a reasonable solution to me.  I look at these stories as a guide as to what I should also be doing, if I was ever reincarnated to a low tech world myself, and I just can't picture myself ever using this, at this point.

 

I feel there is a better method here. Perhaps a sales tax.
