This series is so cute your brain just edits out the blood and gore bits. You have to go back and really look at it before it registers.
First it was the carnage after his fight. People severed in half and body parts strewn about as he st there shocked.
Now he killed that boar by punching it so hard it's head caved in. One small shot of a blood soaked paw and then the girls are so happy you don't even notice the the giant bloody dent where it's head was.

in reality bear claws are pointy, but not that sharp (at least compared to felines), so a knife wold do a better job. But I don't think he would be able to hold a knife like that without opposable thumb.
