TL;DR:
Rooster Teeth gets too much shit from people who I think quite frankly have no right to judge them on a single show? Watch every other show they've done and then judge them.
The story only really started going at the end of season 3, so it might be worth checking it if you havent and can muster the will to.
I will still give this an opportunity, books are less popular so they will probably drop a good part of the clichés.
normally the chapters just align automatically but when you suddenly include/exclude the "vol", it screws up it seems
If you can tell me how to reorder them I would love to know, I've tried everything in terms of the chapter name, I just can't get it to be up at the top.
Edit: Nvm got it.
um...the chapter ordering seems off. preety sure 9 is not between 1 and 2
thnx for the not-puny version this time Remnant. now i don't have to squint with my asian eyes and go futher with the stereotyping line eyes
If I recall correctly, the first two seasons of the show were about the same... I think Monty (RIP) and the RT team were still trying to find their way with the show...writing, animating and producing a show is hard work. I expect doing the same with a manga is about the same level of difficulty... unless you are a really talented story writer or have a really good team with lots of experience.
anyway, enjoy it for what it is. A great gap filler while we wait on Season Four
I'll admit, I am a little disillusioned with the manga. It's not that it's bad... I just expected a lot more, I guess. Still, SEASON 4 HYPE!!!!!!!
what is this, a chapter for ants? i think i can fit the entire page in my phone w/o resizing =D
How so?
Reading this chapter...
Um, what? The third volume is better than the first two by far in pretty much every aspect (especially writing - the first two felt like a bunch of loosely connected setup arcs while volume 3 was an actual cohesive story). The fight choreography obviously took a hit, but by the second half of the volume the fights were pretty good again. Also, might wanna tag that spoiler.
I did, and it wasn't as good as the others, though the animation is considered to be better by everyone, so this got better. And while it's bad, it at least has real consequences like Pyrrha's death.
ok so i dunno if this is the place for it but has anyone seen the newest season?
to be completely honest once I heard that Oum died I couldn't bring myself to see what's left of the series - dunno why, just couldn't
But I know that doesn't remove what quality that may or may not be present there, so I'm wondering if I should just suck it up and see if it's worth it.
oh i know that scene. i'll always line up to see Junior's ass get whooped again
A whole 11 pages. Eh, I can dig it. Since I've already basically seen this in the Yellow trailer lol
I know, the words betray you because the argument belongs to me.
Yeah, yelling at each other for minutes while the other team is watching it with dumb looks on their faces, it seems like a cool and well choreographed fight.
And i could bring up seinen and compare it to fights in Berserk and Onepunch Man, but that's hardly fair to them. So i brought up shounen, Madara vs the shinobi army tramples on RWBY, from animation to choreography. I didn't even talk about Dragonball.
The joke i made aside, you really can't argue against what i'm saying. Any fighting shounen has better fights than RWBY.
I'm not going to look at his death's date and when the episodes were animated. For one, Volume 3 has a better animation. And for two, one of the fights i mentioned was from Volume 2 episode 5.
Winter v Qrow, Ruby vs Cinder, the fights at the end of Volume 2. I could nitpick all of them, and for the same reasons.
You point out out discussing things in the middle of a fight as a con, then bring up shounen.
I have no words.
Hmmm, probably a bait... but I'll bite.
So here's what's in common with all of those scenes you talked about.
Monty was already dead when season 3 was being animated.
Interesting how, of all the large amount of fights in the animation, you chose those one's to nitpick
The fights are laughable. Jaune discussing with his team in the middle of a battle, Neptune discussing with Sun because he is afraid of water in the middle of a battle, Pyrrha[who is considered the best fighter] can't hit Mercury even though he is doing backflips, etc. The fights are just stupid, if there is a reason for someone to watch RWBY it definitely isn't the fights, and if someone think the fights there are cool they would probably lose their shit if they watch any common shounen like Naruto or One Piece, even Bleach has better fights. For fuck's sake, Jackie Chan Adventures has better choreography.
