Reversible!

I have poured over a lot of my favorite manga over the last few days with Batoto closing down... This is the one I felt compelled to leave my final comments.

Going to miss you, Batoto. Especially for bringing stories like this to my attention. I really needed them back then. You brightened my darker days with many happy and sad, funny and serious stories of many worlds. I'm going to miss you.

Certainly wasn't expecting a decent character driven drama from a series about crossdressing. The characters ended up pretty interesting and actually went through some decent development through the series. I also appreciated how the series seemingly matured later on and abandoned panty shots and stuff which were present initially.

Although Kaidou's resolution with his past went over quickly, as well as not having entirely resolved the other main character's backstories and having the series end with the characters grow distant, it wasn't a bad series, and seeing Kaidou be able to rekindle and finally ignite his relationship with Yaezaki leaves me feeling alright.

I'm so glad that I gave this a chance instead of judging it by some tags.  This was a well written story with a very impactful ending.  Honestly, it deserved way more time than it got.  But that the author was able to wrap things up nicely in the end given that it was ended early just proves his/her skill.

You know the mangaka is genious when he/she can deliver good ending with such short space/time given by his/her editor/publisher.

Initially, I was a bit skeptic and was about to press random after reading the description and tags. Thank god i didn't.

Very happy that i gave this manga a shot despite not giving works like these the time of day.

Why did I postponed on reading the last 5 chapters, this stuff is great mmm...~!

That was... quite a strange read, but it was good. A touching story. Ending seemed a bit rushed but it was a decently satisfying ending, didn't make me dislike the series in any way which is a huge plus these days in manga. Actually I'm sort of sad it ended as fast as it did, I was liking the characters...

I read the last chapter again, and it still makes me cry. <3

They just played safe. My favorite ending was in Oreimo. There they managed to play safe yet giving us what we wanted to see.

Or you mean destroyed 11 volumes of plot and character development for an ending that doesn't even make sense. "Temporary" my ass.

Anyway, this ending was rather enjoyable. I think it was especially well done that Kaidou did not spill over to homosexuality at the end, because that really emphasizes the theme of "being yourself". If it went the other route, it would've been cheesy and shattered the realism of this comic that made it so exquisite, considering Kaidou's character development until now, so praises to the author for not falling into the temptation.

Pity. Yet another series I enjoyed well ends so short; although perhaps it may be that I enjoyed them because they are so short.

Unnh... the ending almost moved me to tears, such a lovely story though, I'm glad I read it from the start again.

Remember, any ending to a manga where you do not feel like punching your fist through your screen is a good ending.

And Tsubaki is... how do I describe it, still has the same feminine face, yet there's this manly feel. Kind of awesome.

Ending was good... if the ending went further than what it is, I might have to question myself.

No offense, it's just... Damn, who would've thought that I'd be kinda into (or at least appreciate in a good way) these stuff now, if I look back at myself 2-3 years ago, who only just stopped reading those typical shounen manga, but had yet to find this side...

 

while I guess I didn't really expect that to be the last chapter already, it was still pretty nice. I liked how they still got along even after graduating, that shounen ai feel never goes away. And Tsubaki is hot even as a guy!

Ending was good. Although I really would have liked to see the older sister's relationship to him. Something tells me the only one who hated him was his father.

this was not bad, though it clearly dug it self a hole when the two main characters had a romantic feelings to them. it was one thing for the two brothers, the younger one was practically flaming, but it worked best when the two MC's were having at most a bromance, and because of that, then ending was mehh, and confusing.

I liked the series in general, but that ending was a huge letdown.

I don't know, if you think about how relatively short the manga was, the mangaka either had the choice of having an abrupt ending by forcing in a lot of development in the last chapter, or the way he went by going with a less forced, more open ending. With the open ending, the reader can fill in the blanks with their imagination rather than having the world of the manga ruined with a rushed, forced end. Plus, with the more relaxed, open ending, if he wants, the mangaka can always do some follow up one-shots.

So yea, I thought it was a good ending. Remember, any ending to a manga where you do not feel like punching your fist through your screen is a good ending.
