I still have so many questions.....it can't end now

Thanks for the ride. I sort of wanted more "what happened after" in the ending but it was still great.

Mmmm, that was nice.  Overall, this manga had some flaws and a couple of arcs I could have done without, but basically it was pretty charming.  I've always had a soft spot for the hardworking upbeat shoujo heroine archetype, even though I myself am not notably hardworking.

That... was a surprisingly satisfying ending- thank you, Hatigarm scans, for this lovely littke ride

That last page in chapter 42 caught me so off gaurd my jaw almost literally hit the floor.

Y'all know they're going to share the bed. annnnd final comment: Aoi is the epitome of an unlikeable character.

I get what you're saying and I sorts agree. The way in which this love triangle was introduced was poor writing on the author's part. In my opinion it went against Minato's character to not notice that a female has a crush on him. It makes sense that she would fall for him but her actions were really irritating to read about. I wouldn't have been as irritated if she wasn't so proactive in trying to steal someone else's boyfriend especially when she found out that the girlfriend was someone who was really good to her.

This is something that a lot of people missed regarding Minato's personality - it changed greatly after he went out with Ririko, and Yuuma even pointed out that Riri tamed him (Just read the old chapters again and you'll see why). He's still the kind-hearted, cold-handsome-looking-guy that all the girls in his school are eyeing on, but he no longer go beyond kindness when interacting with other girls.

Also a common misunderstanding, Aoi never did try to steal Minato, she merely followed Ririko's advice that about not putting away her feelings. Remember, she doesn't flirt with Minato like Serina or threaten Ririko like [the random stalker], she just looked up for him. Minato gave her false hope with his stupid comments, this is not something we can blame her for.

If Aoi was the main character:

Aoi: If it's anything... Then I-- I want to go to the fireworks festival with you! *blushes*

Minato: Eh?

A: I-I mean, unless you already have plans to go with your girlfriend...?

M: Ah... Nah, she's too busy.

A: *thinking* Ah, that look again... if it was me... *heart squeezes*

A: T-then...

M: Are you sure? Wouldn't you rather go with your friends? Don't you want something better as a thank you? I could get you a designer bag or something...

A: N-no! Being with you is more than enough, senpai!

M: *blushes and rubs back of his neck, looking away* Ah, okay, if you say so... How about this Saturday? Does that work for you?

A: Y-Yeah.

M: Okay, I'll text you. See you then. *smiles*

A: Yes! Thank you, senpai!

M: Haha, what's with that? I'm supposed to be the one thanking you for finding my keychain.

*Scene fades out with a frame on Minato's face, his gentle smile/laugh surrounded by bishonuen sparkles*

A: *thinking* Senpai... I'd never make you sad...

NNNNNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Well that was completely inconsequential and a waste of time. At least Ririko acted exactly as she was supposed to. She's always been good about being straightforward.

Eh, when you're young and in love, you're in love.  She's isolated, he's become practically her only support, the universe has thrown her a bunch of shoujo-moment co-incidences with him, and on top of that he's really good-looking.  The final frame is the only thing that bothers me a bit.
The whole thing has escalated pretty fast and is becoming a bigger, more annoying triangle than I was hoping for, but that's really more from the mangaka manipulating events to throw them together.  Suou should really have been taking a bit more care--I mean geeze, their first introduction slammed romance squarely onto the page.  He may be underestimating the situation because she's younger and knows he has a girlfriend, but he's being kind of dumb IMO.

Well that drama was really unnecessary and stupid. I love Ririko tho

this New Other Girl thing is taking too long to be resolved.. ughh

I'm just waiting for the funny twist again. Can't be long now.... right?

Remember that her assumption came from Minato's word himself :P

Yeah... I'm mad at the boy too. He's projecting too much, and being a little too nosy. Like, her situation is bad, yes, but that doesn't mean he should become her support. He can help her sure, but what he's doing with all this extra attention isn't doing him any favors.. He shouldn't be looking for Ririko in this girl. I don't know. I just think he's a bit stupid. And the girl... She's a little... impetuous. *Shaking my head* (The quickness of her falling for him, compared with the ease of how she starting seeing Ririko in a negative light despite all Ririko's actions just kinda...*sigh*)

Sorry, I do not like how this manga turned out. I don’t appreciate the fact that this girl appeared out of nowhere and now is like the protagonist of the story like seriously? And this triangle thingy that is going on is just plain awful. I understand her falling in love with him okay okay but how your ass is gonna kiss him while he’s asleep and be like “ um he doesn’t wear his keychain anymore they most have broken up yea that’s is im going to kiss him why not?” This is just plain stupid but then again it is a shoujo manga. Ugh I liked this manga but they f*cked it up so sad.

I would like to know if you feel the same way after you read chapter 38. I personally hate her selfishness

So, in a typical story we'd have a clueless male character who doesn't know he's leading the other girl on, or does but thinks "I'm not gonna change being nice just because girls take it the wrong way." Here, I'm not sure if he's clueless or not. I guess he's just focused on his "I'm helping out a friend of the family" and missing her perspective? Because he knows girls throw themselves at him and he's usually stand-offish. Not sure where this is going. I can hear Riri saying "I said you can like him, to get over it slowly, not act on it!" though.

I was surprised that he didn't notice her feelings but I think it's because he just feels so much pity for her and he's so in love with Ririko that her oogly eyes didn't register to him.
...at least that's what I like to tell myself...

It's funny, ch.35 is a standard setup for an annoying, potentially very annoying, triangle situation.  Except I couldn't get miffed.  The girl's such a sweetie and anyway, I just get this vibe that it's all going to resolve with very little conflict.

New girl was cute, but now she's getting a tab bit annoying, jumping to conclusions like that. I know she doesn't know about their relationship, but still, her assumptions are all over the place. And Minato too. Doesn't do anything to help.

Remember that her assumption came from Minato's word himself :P

Mm, the fact that it's such a common shojo romance setup from Aoi's perspective, and that she's the very image of an archetypal heroine, is what makes this new arc a bit more interesting than the usual love triangle conflict. She's simultaneously more sympathetic as a character and more threatening as a rival precisely because we've seen girls exactly like her win the day in dozens of other stories. We're already primed to root for her, in a way.

That's exactly how I feel about some of Sakisaka Io's stuff.  Some of the different people in the squares are all worthy hero/ines in their own right.
