Thanks for the heads up, Freezee!

This upload means a whole lot to me.

When I was a kid, I was a very enthusiastic PokĆ©mon fan (and I still am!). I remember stumbling upon Pokesho's ā€œThe Sir-Knight Experience,ā€ somewhere in the internet, and by reading it I got my first taste of manga. I had found a new passion. Reading manga is very relaxing, no doubt!

For some time afterwards, I wondered, ā€œWere there any more manga out there that have such beautiful art and story?ā€ Three years later, in 2014, I tried searching for more Pokemon fanmade manga and eventually found the title ā€œDating a Team Magma Grunt.ā€

And that was how I discovered Bato.to! I began visiting this site by reading a PokĆ©mon doujinshi, and now I end my joyous times here by reading a different one...this one! Of course, Iā€™ve read many more stellar manga in this website, but after four years, seeing that the last chapter I read is PokĆ©mon-related definitely feels fulfilling, you know?

Again, from the bottom of my heart, thank you Cosmic Enzyme Scans! Iā€™ll be sure to follow you, along with a list of other scanlator teams! Itā€™s definitely been a wonderful time for all of us readers in Bato.to! I feel sad that all good times must have an end, but I know that everyone in this community will find each other again.

Sayonara, everyone! Hope to see you guys on some other site out there!

mangadex.com; currently a WIP, but it seems to be the current designated replacement for now

P.S: I've been having the tune "After the Sapphire Field" from PokƩmon Pinball stuck in my head ever since I read Grumpy's post last Monday. It really fits the mood of the situation.

the battle was awesome, but why the author took 6 months D: ... it's such an awesome work and it would erased from bato.to with everything else u.u

The author does this doujinshi every Comiket.

It probably took so long because this chapter is god damn amazing.

Now that they are moving to Twitter and Discord only this manga will become unreachable, like so many on Facebook, Twitter and the like. So we'll have to say goodbye to it.

What a chapter to say farewell to Batoto.

This was Berserk levels of awesome.

Hope you guys enjoyed the chapter! Glad Houndoom got a good showing.
Cheerio Batoto also.

Thank you so much for this.

This manga, doujin, it's just so much what many people want from Pokemon.

Thank you for not giving up on it with the end of Batoto.

Hope you guys enjoyed the chapter! Glad Houndoom got a good showing.
Cheerio Batoto also.

Karen lost the match, but won in her endeavor against the world.

Green won the match, but in a way has lost against his views vs Karens.

Amazing how Karen's loss in no way felt bad at all.

Absolutely incredible, thank you batoto.

And Farewell.

The last scene with Karen and her pokemons made me shed tears. This author is good.

Dayummmmmm..... I mean.... DAYUUUMMMMMMM. I need to close the window cause Iā€™m getting goosebumps reading this.

Thanks!!!! Gracias Enzyme Cosmic Scans!!!!!!!! Esto sera lo ultimo que leea en Bato

What a truly amazing series. The next chapter has just been finished, so I eagerly away the translation.

Well look at that! Thanks Cosmic Enzyme Scans! Just in time for my final manga read...

Awesome series, a lot of sad but also GAR moments. Love the level of detail put into Karen's dark pokemon. I think Green will win, but that is ok - despite talking about only wanting the strongest pokemon, it's just a facade to hide that he cares so much about his pokemon that he doesnt want any of them to be hurt again.

Even though I know Green is gonna win anyway (MCs and all that trashes), I really, REALLY, want Karen to beat him.

Just read chapter 3.5 and damn it, I cried like a baby.
Need to call my mom now, this shit is too emotional for me to handle.

I seriously dont understand why people care about that. More moves = More action Why would people want less of that just to follow game mechanics? The classic pokemon anime depicted pokemon with more then 4 moves too

I don't think that it's unreasonable to expect other media to follow the basic game mechanics of the established, and by all means predominant, common sense of Pokemon, as established by the video games.

That being said, I don't think anyone is actually complaining about the fact that more moves were used than should be possible. Making an observation isn't necessarily voicing a complaint.

Also, and I think this is obvious, this doujin series follows the rule of cool perfectly. Cases in point: Lapras using volt tackle, training to overcome type weaknesses, Pikachu in general, etc.

I just wish I could up vote this doujin even more...

Wow, umbreon just got fucked up so hard that Rhydon-senpai decided to take responsibility.

I really liked this chapter but I felt like something was off. Then I realized that Alakazam had 6 moves. (Pycho cut, Psychic, Miracle Eye, Light Screen, Reflect, and Future Sight)
Edit: Umbreon also knows 6 (Shadow Ball, Payback, Sucker Punch, Pursuit, Curse, Feint)
So I guess this doesn't follow the shitty game logic of only knowing 4 moves.

This even has things like training to overcome weaknesses (of type even) so definitely not following the constraints of the game

Well, this is how Pokemon mangas/animes should be. This is also a lot more realistic compared to those childish Ketchup serials.
